French shops are allowed to open twice in December on Sundays without penalty. I would suggest you contact either the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie or the Calais Office de Tourisme you can google their email addresses and ask your question in English.
It's best to be sure of the opening days and times (restricted as regards normal shopping hours) before you travel - and car parking will be horrendous to take extra patience with you!!

Having ventured out to the shops locally, there are a lot who will be open during the AFTERNOONs of Sundays 9, 16 and 23 December ... usually about from 2 pm to 6 pm. Enjoy .... if that floats your boat!
