yes we went in march as a big group. And some of them smoke.

Upon our visits to mary rogans, temple bar, bulls head and others which were non smoking.

Our friends just go and sit outside and smoke.

yea some do and some dont.... most of the "club" like places allow smoking.... yates's, edwards, wigan pier dont.... but as chris said its lovely and warm to go outside on the terrace or whatever.

Most restaurants are non smoking but if they have a terrace you can usually smoke there, even if it's covered.

I have been several times since the smoking stopped and not had a problem.

PS Dont even think of trying to smoke a crafty cig in the airport, you will be jumped on by security. They are very hot on that!

I think that pubs etc.over a certain size, have to be non smoking,

this is an old topic..... the law states if under 100 sq metres you have the choice... smoking or non smokin.... however if you choose to be a smoking bar then by rights you are non allowed anyone under 16. however if you are a bar over 100 sq metres then either you are non smoking OR you have a seperate smoking area, which has to be self contained, with air conditioning, and no under 16's allowed.
you will now notice that a lot of bars dont adhere to these regs, and a lot of bars did, but reverted back to the old regs.
the law is what is says....... its not enforced much...... and bars can either adhere to these laws, or not... and pay the consequences later.... if there are any.
