I always say - get a good mask fitted properly from a dive centre over here, budget for around £30. One with tempered glass lenses; and ask their advice on how to prepare it for use. You really will appreciate it when it doesn't fog up or leak - you can enoy your snorkelling so much more.
If any of you need glasses then masks with prescription lenses are available - but cost about £70.

Then get any cheap snorkel tube and a pair of cheap slipper fins from a beach shop. Perhaps even buy a cheap kit in Sharm and throw the mask away (it'll probably have a plastic lens that steams up all the time whatever you do).

If you enjoy snorkelling a try-dive really is a "must do" while in Sharm... :tup

Yes their "special offer" fins are really only of use with boots (which they don't sell) and are quite small in the fin area so you have to paddle like a demented frog to get anywhere compared to proper scuba fins of any type with long blades you just imagine you shuffling slowly and it's enough to see everything
