Hi
looking at the Somy for New Year, anyone know what the Gala dinner consists of , is it worth sticking around for or is it best to head out
I don't know what the gala dinner will be like but you will probably be the only ones having it, you will find 99% of people heading for the shack's and bars, the beach is the best place to be for new years eve with all the fireworks and dancing but if you want quite you could stay in the hotel LoL
When do you arrive because you can get the upto date info at one of HT's meetings either at Why Not on a Sunday or the Carvery on a Wednesday.
Mike
thanx
stayed in the hotel for the gala dinner as they made such an effort in promoting it we felt sorry for them!
it was a strange affair of english/indian christmas fusion, kind of turkey with random trimmings?
anyway, we left around 8.30 for the beach, feeling that we had done our bit
get tourselves down to the beach on foot and enjoy the rest of the night, possibly one of the most amazing experiences i have ever had, shame we had to fly home at 8 a.m. on the 1st january!
Eat first then go down to the beach, the atmosphere is electric, the youngsters will love it, its an experience not to be missed.
Just beware of the fireworks they are quite erratic and not to our health and safety standards!!!!!
The rockets fly anywhere like a mind of there own!
Enjoy jan
We were on the beach last new years day (Baga) had a great time but not as busy as the night before I bet
