Holidays are on the up, so for a good deal you may not find one.

Thomas cook seem to be cheaper, not sure what date/airport you want, heres some dates for an idea, the later you go, the cheaper it is. The begining of November will always be more expensive as its hotter.

Thomas cook

16/11 - 2 wk - £1,551,84p (GW)
16/11 - 1 wk - £1,178.52p {EMA)
16/11 - 2 wk - £1,597,59 - (EMA)

Thomson

16/11 - 1week - £1,252.00 (EMA)
16/11 - 2 week - £1620.00 (EMA)

They are examples, i tried early for you but were a bit dearer.

TC coming in cheaper, variations in airports as well, all above cover all charges and food, if you didnt want food subtract £30.

Kuoui coming in a lot dearer and OTB although advertised doesnt do SBR otb web site that i could see.

Off to bed now, but will try again later, tried teletext but SBR not showing.

Hi most have gradual steps, havent seen any ramps, but that doesnt mean there arent any. I havent been in all the pools, so cannot comment on them. It is easily friendly towards buggys and wheelchairs.

Usually locally branded at bars, you can buy imports from the bar in reception and next door at the Oonas dive bar and restaurant. Same price as the UK. I drink JD and Coke and it was around £2.50p. Vodka i found on campus was quite strong, they don't measure it and my tumbler was full :yikes I am not sure about duty free, i know i brought back more than i should :whoops

that suits me down to the ground!!

On another note, we have recommended this place to my SIL and BIL for thier first ever visit to Sharm. They have never been to Egypt before and were looking to go to Sharm in June/July. We have told them it will be way too hot for the kids to cope with (aged 8 and 4) at that time of year and so they are thinking of end of Oct/beginning of November.

Hi!
me and my boyfriend are staying at the sonesta club hotel on the 22 june for 2 weeks.
We have a few questions:
What facilities can the sonesta club residents use at the sonesta beach hotel - for example is there food and drink there that we could use whilst on the beach there?
Can we use the restaurants at that hotel or only at the sonesta club hotel?
What is the recommended tip to give to staff?
How much money would you recommend for us to take to do some trips and going out in the town?

many thanks
caroline

Hi
Yes the rooms have hair dryers and are fairly adequete even for long hair - situated in the bathroom.

Also i usually book trips with a tour operator basically because you are insured with them. If you have your own travel insurance from an independent broker then it doesn't matter. Just remember if going on a quad bike to make sure the insurance company covers you for the cc, and for diving etc.

Any more q's please ask ;)

Hi Caroline
I cannot really comment on the sonesta club because i do not know it as well as the sonesta beach resort, as to what facilities you can use there i am not sure. You cannot have food there unless you pay as its virtually the same food where you will be staying. I am not sure if you can use the pool facilities now but as i say i am not sure, my advice would be to ask your tour operator for a full listing or contact the sonesta beach direct via email.

Sorry Caroline almost forgot, if you are tipping we normally give 10LE - 20LE for house-keeping per day around 80p - £1.20. If you want the pool guy or beach guy to 'save' you a place then again another £1 per bed, as for waiters i only tip if they are attentive enough, £1 per case on arrival is usually suffice.
Trips is a difficult one because i do not know what you may be planning on doing whilst out there.

Michelle :)

Seen both of these advertised with different travel companies, but are they the same place or sister hotels? If the latter, which would be the best for me and my 70 year old mother. Like to be fairly entertained during the day and would prefer to be in the centre of Naama Bay so that we don't have to get taxis to town. Or does anyone else have any recommendations - there seems to be too much choice to wade through at the moment?
