Hello
I have been all over the states, Dubai, Singapore on holiday and I am planning this year's tripfor myself and my girl friend, my travel agent is recommending Cape Town, I am a little concerned about Africa, can anybody give me some advice whether it's a great place to go or not. Any other suggestions would also be welcomed.

Hi,we were in Cape Town last year.We based ourselves here for 10 nights and done various trips.
We stayed at the Commodore hotel which is really nice and is about a 10 min walk to the V&A waterfront where there are lots of restaurants and a few bars as well as a shopping mall.We felt really safe down there,plenty tourist police about.
Just like any large city you don't wander about areas you don't know about and keep your wits about you and you will have a great time.There are some great tours from Cape town-Wineries,Shark diving,Table mountain and Stellenbosch to name a few.
We would highly recommend it.
