Hey Fee Fee:

Don't forget that while you're away, people around you are too busy worrying about how they look than noticing how anyone else looks, so enjoy your holiday :)

Anyway, I can recomend slimming world, I've been known to lose about 7lbs in a week on this plan, although it varies from person to person, but the main thing is, it's focused on healthy eating and not dieting, you'll be amazed at what you can have on the plan as well! I know it might be a bit expensive to join (£10 your first week then £4.75 each week after) but it's worth it big time! Crash diets don't work and they only depress you, so please do think about your health!

If you want, you can PM me, and I can offer you some support/information on Slimming world, I honestly don't work for them but I've seen first hand what they've done for people!

I've lost another 2lbs in the past 3 days... total weight loss of 12lbs since the end of April, got another 2lbs to lose in 2 weeks :) although I'd be made up to lose anything :)

I would second the suggestion of Slimming World. At the moment, I feel like a walking poster ad for them :) but I don't mind at all. Ive lost 26lb (have another weigh in tonight so hopefully a bit more tomorrow) since I joined on February 20th this year - thats about 13/14 weeks now.

Before I joined, I was just about squeezing into size 18 clothes and the fact that they were no longer comfortable and I was bordering size 20, combined with a bit of bullying from my mum and sister is what made me join Slimming World. I am SO glad that I did. I have just purchased a size 14 swimming costume for my holiday along with several size 14 skirts and tops (I wouldn't have dared to wear skirts this time last year :) ).

I tried crash dieting last year and I lost weight for about a month and then put it all back on PLUS some.

Slimming World has worked wonders for me and I still look at what I am eating in disbelief. You would never think that you could possibly loose weight and eat the amount that I do. It works.

Hiya

Well done everyone, just got back from WW lost 1 1/2lb a bit dissapointed I was also hoping to lose 2lb. I've walked my legs off this week & spent hours on trampet (mini trampoline).

Lost 10 1/2lbs up to now but need to lose another 8, so carry on I must. I think I'll cut down on alcohol :D as this maybe stopping me losing some weight  but I don't go over points  .

Anyway Good Luck to you all

Hi everyone,
Great to hear all your news. 8)
I need help - started off really well on the SW programme, now I am stuck - still eating plenty which I think is the problem - maybe too much!!!!! Think I am overdoing the rice/pasta etc The plan that I downloaded from the website was brill. Loads of veggie ideas please :D
Miss my cereal for breakie as I don't want to use up a lot of my milk allowance. What other ideas do you have?
Going to really try from today as I am on half term now until 4th June. All ideas/suggestions welcome. Just need a good weight loss to get me going again.
Thanks everyone Irene :D

Hi Everyone.
Wonder whether someone can help - as I am 'stuck' on my SW plan and off this week I am going to get 'on my bike' and see if exercise will shift some of the weight. Want to lose approx 20lbs in 10 weeks - 2llb per week is now my target.:( The seat that I have on my bike is quite uncomfortable - walk like John Wayne the day after I have been on it!!!!! Have seen a gel seat in Argos before I get it anyone know if it is comfortable - I know as hubby says there is plenty of padding on my rear as it is - Men  Or any other seats that people have bought and are comfy :?
Thanks in advance.
Irene :)

hi everyone ive only just seen this thread and im made up.. :wave
I am going to tenerife in 3 weeks and i have been dieting on and off for the last 2 years, however my holiday last year really stumped me i have for the last 2 years travelled on a first choice 757 my first year i sat in the seat and was a touch uncomftable throughout the flight but okay, hoever last year and slightly slimmer by a few pounds i struggled like mad with the seat belt and the tray just crippled me i couldnt enjoy myself infact i love flying but i seriously wanted to get off. As soon as we booked this holiday in febuary i was adament that i would not be going through the fear that the seat belt extension would have to come out or i couldnt eat and drink comforatble, So this year we are travelling with thomson in a bigger plane with a slightly biger pitch dont know if that will make a difference but i have cut all snacks and supper out i eat 3 meals a day and nothing else i walk a few times a week and go swimming when i can i also jump on my excersie bike but it kills my bum aswell to date ive lost another stone so that will be 3 stone 5 pounds in 2 years...i could do with your support to keep going...

Hi Claire
Welcome to the site - everyone here is so helpful.
It is weigh in for me at SW tonight - not looking forward to it as I have not been good - don't know what is the matter with me I have felt very 'down' the last few weeks and what do I do when I am like that -eat :( So annoying as I know the SW plan is for me. So have decided to do more exercise - walking no probs but I would like to get on 'my bike' more. Checked out seats yesterday - Halfords do a 'ladies' seat but it still felt very hard off to investigate the gel seat at Argos later.
Keep in touch.
Irene :P

Lost 1lb which I'm happy with because.....
:pele :pele :pele Thats my 1 stone :pele :pele :pele

Got 6 days til my holiday, I normally let myself go off the diet now and put some back on but I'm also convinced I'll need a seatbelt extension (I'm about 5lbs heavier than last year as I've been so busy at uni and lived on takeaways!) But the seatbelt fitted fine last year with plenty left over! Grrrrrrrr! So I'll be sticking to it a bit more this week!

Anyway, welcome Claire! And well done on that fantastic weight loss up to now!

Irene: Have you considered fast forward or success express? Ask your consultant! Great if you're starting to even out!

Hi Claire and welcolm - know what you mean about the seats - that was one of my incentives to lose weight for this yearss hols - being wedged for 4 hours is no joke!
Well done drama queen and good luck for tonight Irene
I am having a bit of a funny week at the moment - seem to have lost the will (power)! 10 weeks to hols and need to shift 5lbs to get to the 3 stone mark.Wish me luck
