I done it. I lost that 3lb I wanted to lose. I am so chuffed. I haven't stopped smiling yet :D. Thats 1½ stone in 10 weeks and 10% of my body weight off. You know that I am going to celebrate with a ... a ... apple or two tonight
To all those not having a good time lately, you can do it. If I can, then anyone can. I never thought for a minute that joining a slimming club and loosing weight would be so satisfying and I have to say *whilst touching wood* easy. Its the best £4.50 I spend each week. All it took was some serious changes to my "healthy" diet (which wasn't so healthy really) and sticking to it. Trying on my small clothes gives me the inspiration and encouragement I need to keep on going. Mind you, I'm not looking forward to that week when I have the dreaded plus sign on my diet sheet but I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

You must be so chuffed 1.5 stone that is great.
Not a good week for me 0.5lb on but I have been unwell since Saturday rotten cold and chesty cough and an appetite of cough medicine, throat lozengers and soups out of a can!!!!! So can't expect anything else.
New week starting tomorrow.

Very happy this week - another 2lbs gone so just 11 left to my first goal of 3 stone . will then need to lose what I put on on hols plus another stone before Xmas

I'm pleased to say that today, I have had NO CHOC, and NO BISCUITS . So at least thats one good day I've had . Hopefully means i've been good today it might encourage me to do the same tomorrow.

Just lost my first 2 pounds since starting seriously. Joined in with the children's P.E. lessons in school and started some light exercise at home.
However, tried on a bikini I really fancied a couple of days ago and it looked absolutely ridiculous so had to send it back. It's going to be a hard couple of days as the weekend's here but I'm going to try my best.
Still haven't been tempted by the crisps and I'm also finding it easier to go without the chocolate biscuit bars. I hope I won't give in to temptation. Don't go on holidays until 1st August so it seems a long time to be deprived but also a long time to lose quite a few pounds. Here's hoping
Hi everybody, i have been reading ths thread for a while now, have been trying to lose 2 stone for the last few years and have tried everything but have no willpower, its great to see all you having lost the weight since christmas. I just came back from a weeks holiday at easter and felt terrible, nothing fitted right and i couldnt wear what i wanted, going away again in october so am really going to give it a try and might pop on now and then to let you know how i am getting on
I have lost 2 stone since just before Christmas .....I need to lose at least another half stone perhaps a stone, but Im floundering.

I still have 6 pound to go in three weeks so I'm back on the slimfast till then. It works but is a bit of a killa, but it's only for the next three weeks ( I don't do diets on a weekend though as I love my Sunday dinners )
I often browse this site usualy the Goa forum but its the 1st time I've come across this topic. It must be fate because I have just gone back to WWatchers yet again having put on weight.
I am a yoyo dieter usualy manage to lose the weight get to target & hey presto back on again. I have tried different diets but the best one for me is WW. I got to Gold Jan 06 & continued to lose a few pounds. Just been to Goa for a month & had to go back to ww & weighed 10.5Ibs over goal. However because I was under goal weight before I have approx 1st 7Ibs to lose.
I can't believe I've done it again, clothes in wardrobe I just can't get on. At the moment only got 2 prs trousers that fit (for work) and I have decided that I am not buying anymore. Makes me as sick as a parrot when everyone else wearing different things, so this may spur me on. I can't even find the enthusiasem (spelt wrong)to exercise, used to go to gym but packed it in (won't be rejoining).
Anyway, hope its ok to join you all on here, as I need the help.

I only post in here once a week between Jan and May as I only diet for my holiday Then it all goes back on gradually throughout the year.

I have come to realise that I need the strictness of a slimming class and since joining SW 10 weeks ago, I have lost 1½ stone which for me, speaks for itself. I am still big, but I can fit into clothes that I have not worn for at least 2 years. That in itself is all the inspiration I need to continue. I go on holiday in September and my aim is to lose another 1½ stone before I go and be the one who runs around on the beach with my daughter, feeling confident and not the one hiding under an umbrella covered in a "large" sarong feeling embarrassed because of my size.
All I can say is that this thread is so helpful. Full of encouragement when you need it the most. I check in most days and especially when I need a bit of a boost.

sarah, i think i may follow your lead and try slimming world, the only time i manage to lose any weight is when i go to a slimming class, i need to know that someone is going to see how i have done, every time i go on holiday i vow i will never be this size the next time i go, but i always am anyway it is great to see you have done so well.
Caits. Go for it. I was bullied by my mum and sister into joining SW in the first place. They could see how unhappy I was. I am so glad they done it now :). I feel so much better about myself and my confidence is returning again. I went out for a meal on Saturday night wearing a pair of jeans that I haven't worn since just after my daughter was born 3 years ago and I did feel very good as well :D.
I think I need to know that someone is keeping check on my weight and I need the strictness of it. Its wasn't any good doing it myself. I was a terrible cheat but convinced myself I was doing ok and couldn't understand why the scales didn't show any sign of improvement :roll:. I do now.
The girls (and guys) on this thread are brilliant and it helps to check in and see how everyone else is going as well. Long may it continue

ive only lost 1 lb this week so thats 20 now 1 more lb to reach 1 1/2 stone, still a long way to go, but ive gone down 1 clothes size and most of last summers clothes are too big, so im having to wear clothes from the previous year and buy some new ones, so nice to get a size smaller, but still got a long way to go yet, want to lose another 3 stone if i can grrrr
Hi Cazz. HOw does the slimfast work for you. Can you really lose weight fast and what would a typical day's intake be for you whilst on the Slimfast plan. Also do you still feel hungry during the day?
