To lose 1lb you need to reduce your calorific intake by 3500 calories.By reducing your calorific intake by a 1000 calories a day you should be able to lose 2Lbs a week.
Welcome to our new members
Wow we are all doing well Lets keep it up.
Sarah you are like our SW consultant adding up the pounds lost
I have just weighed myself (know I shouldn't), I seem to be going in the right direction again this week. Just hoping for a good weekend as I have fallen off the plan at weekends before.
Added incentive we are hopefully booking for a return visit to Zante just looking at the price of flights - wow they have gone up a lot!!!! Hubby says we shouldn't need many new clothes - I have got plenty that I have always found too tight so fingers crossed.
Just had summer fruits and 0% greek yoghurt for breakfast - lovely.
Have a good weekend evryone and speak soon.
Irene
Even so, going in the right direction Starting to go to the gym every day now, instead of every other day, that seems to be helping a lot! I've already noticed that I am wearing clothes I bought months ago that wouldn't fit and went to the back of my wardrobe
Have fun everyone
Got weighed at WW on Wednesday and I've lost 2lbs . The best thing however, was receiving a letter this morning from my WW leader (Toni) congratulating me on my weight loss thus far. I thought it was a lovely gesture and a great way to encourage members to achieve their goals.
Well done to everyone who has lost/maintained weight.
Julie
Well done on your weight loss.
Our SW consultant texts us on a regular basis if there is a weight gain there are always words of encouragement and if you have done well then it is a congrats text, lovely gesture.
Today has gone well for me as I can 'lose it' of a weekend, roll on Monday
Irene
Since Jan 7th I have lost a total of 5Lb. I'm on my own diet this time as I can't really afford to fork out 5£ a week to get weighed. I'm combining it with swimming and walking. It's working slowly but surely. I've got 15 more weeks to lose another 19lb.
Here's what I'm having ( don't know if it's nutritional or not but it works for me and i feel ok)
Breakfast.Porridge or
Cereal or
2 slices of brown toast or
Smoothie.
Lunch.
Brown bread sandwiches containing
Tuna and Sweetcorn or
BLT or
Egg and Cress Mayonaise or
Prawn salad.
Then pice of fruit or low fat yogurt.
Tea.
Low fat soup, then
Variety salad/vegetables, jacket potatoe with
chicken or
tuna or
prawns
or pork kebab.
Then fruit or low fat yogurt.
Snacks are either a piece of fruit or two ryvitas with cottage cheese.
Plenty of water throughout the day.
I walk for an hour twice a week, then swim for an hour twice a week, the other three days I work so get plenty excersise there.
Keep up the good work everyone.
See you next week.
Seems like a very healthy eating plan and if the weight is coming off then it is working. I am sure the excercise is a great help. A P.E. teacher at the school where I work said walking is one of the best form of excercise if you want to shed some pounds, I will have to wait for the lighter nights to start so that I can get out and about during the week.
Keep up the good work.
Irene
We certainly are a bunch of losers Well done peeps. Keep up the good work. I agree that walking is a good way to tone up the thighs and wobbly bits. I was out walking this morning and it was very windy so I was pleased that I had got it over with early on. I lose weight very slowly despite all my efforts. The older you get, the harder it is !!! By the time we are all at target, we could fill a cruise ship with all our excess blubber
if anyone has any good sw recipes for red days let me know(not with quorn though can't stand the stuff)
love reading all your posts there a great help when you don't go to meetings.
bye for now tracey
Ooo well done Tracey. I bet you feel marvellous. I think I put a link some time ago to a SW archive of recipes. Have a rummage
Thats a really good weight loss and well done for being so focussed without going to classes.! If you Goggle slimming world and look for i-village when the results come up, there are loads and loads of SW recipes on there.
Talking about good scales Lloyds pharmacy have some really good ones for £14.99...... or you could always weigh yourself at Boots or Superdrug.
Denny
Tracey 12lb in 12 days thats mega
I really enjoy my mixed grill on red days
Steak, gammon, chicken, lamb, joes sausage ( sinfree and gorge, if google them and a site will come up) fried egg (frylight) mushrooms, onions ( all free food)
B section= 8oz potato cut into wedges, spray with frylight and bake ( you can add chilli powder and garlic salt to wedges before cooking) Oh yeah and side salad if it fits on the plate
I LOVE this meal but i only have it on special occasions because it can get pricey if you ahve it every night ( could if you wanted its all on plan)
Woo Hoo I love slimming world ( as you can see i can eat quite a bit )
Kerrie
Not sure if anyone has already posted this but here are some recipes i stumbled upon for people who are on slimming world:
http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/SlimmingWorld/143_slimming_world_recipes.htm
Not tried any yet but some sound yummy
alsbaby, have you had any other of Joe's products? Just been looking on the site and they sound gorge!
Thanks for the recipes just a wee word of warning to SW members who are counting their sins, some of these recipes are out of date regarding sin values just double check when making them. Corned Beef hash used to be my favourite SW meal but its no longer sin free.
Where are you going on hols in June.
Good luck this week everyone.
Lynn
Going to costa brava and cant wait!! if i loose a pound a week till then i would be a happy bunny!
1lb a week, that would be a good weigh loss for your hols 14 weeks on Thursday for me I'm hoping to lose just over a stone before I go.
Lynn
Only 6 weeks to go til holiday and my own target is to have lost a stone (8.5lbs so far), so fingers crossed!
