Thanks everyone, I'm almost there with the survey results- which I'll use at the beginning of the new seasons restaurant Q&As threads- one for North Goa and one for South.
I can tell you that the number one overall is Inferno.

Our apartment is opposite After 7 and our official address is Calangute.
Electric -Calangute
Gas - Candolim
Skytv - Calangute/Candolim

Everybody tells us we live in Calangute and the Hindu temple - on the border is Calangute -so we say that we live in Calangute but when we tell people where we live they say we live in Candolim
So i can tell you where we live and you can make up your own mind.

last year After 7 was one of the top rated for Candolim. This year it is in the top 4 for Calangute!

Bit late now but can give some words about some of the named places Plantain - veggie on Calangute High Street - IMO - not the best - in fact would avoid.
Tibetan Kitchen - Good - Jungle Village - English stuff - good
O'Pescador - expensive but good - Green Jacket - well recommended

Just a thought - the head chef from the After 7 is opening a restaurant just at the back of where we live - over the road from after 7 so we will have to see how things go - can he take his reputation with him - he wants us all to do it via the internet.
