Hi we are going out to Turky next month, when i Booked the holiday in january this year i didnt have enough at the time to pay for meals on the plane.. 4 of us are going (myself and 3 daughters)and i was told that it would Be £14 per person.. however i phoned last week to pay for the meals, only to have them tell me its now £22 per person, im trying very hard to keep costs down, so my question is this... can we take sandwhiches etc to eat on the plane? i understand that we can not take liquids, i thought i had read somewhere that we can take our own, however i can not find that post now!

yes you can take your own sandwiches with you. Have a look here
You can take sandwiches, some fruit, crisps, choccy/cereal bars ... and buy soft drinks when you have passed through security to take on board. You can't take yogurt or anything that might be construed as 'liquids' and I've seen people having containers of peanut butter confiscated!!!
Thats excellent... thankyou! and Helen that link was very usefull ...
Will close this topic now as mitchellclr has posted in the other thread
