Hi all,
I have just booked my holiday to Thailand for late November for one month! The flights and accomodation have already been booked. I am wondering if any of you guys could give me your opinions on the best way of travelling throughout Thailand to get to each of these places:
Bangkok > Chiang Mai > Phuket > Koh Samui
I have looked into domestic Flights on ThaiAir but they are not THAT cheap, could anyone give me an idea on what the trains are like for transport (are they clean? cheap? copeable in the heat?) would it be worth taking the train or do you reckon I should I pay out for a flight and save a long journey?
I am also unaware of what Jabs I will need to get so if anyone can point me in the right direction your help will be appreciated muchly.

Did a quick check and Bangkok Chiang Mai return maybe £33 return.
Getting to Samui by air is not so cheap as Bangkok Air who run the route, own the airport as well.
Jabs best checked with doctor or have alook on this.

The trains are clean and cheap. Some have sleeper cars. Depending on class of ticket you can get airconditioning.
If in UK any surgery nurse just looks up what jabs you need. Have never took anything for malaria, just packed lots of sprays although the stuff there acts better on Thai mossies.

Had a couple of flights on Air Asia...one punctual one delayed. Only airline I've been on where they do kareoke.
Nok Air ...strangest paint jobs I've seen on a plane, but who cares once your inside.
Do you think it is best to to book any trips now online ie the Elephant Jungle trek or will it be easy enough sorting trips out once im over there?
Most seem to book trips when there. Also lot seem to go to elephant rehab centre in Phuket. Lot of discussion on tripadvisor.
