We are planning to return to Cyprus, having lived in Limassol in the '60's and visited the Island several times since then. Loved it, loved the people, still do. We'll be staying in the Blue Cottage in the upper village. The published info depicts it as a delight for the 'quiet' break. Has anyone stayed at the Blue Cottage or in the village? I have to say, the last time we visited that area was in '62, when four of us hired four village donkeys from Ipsonas, (after the harvest) and took off up the paths and tracks to Troodos, camping on our last night in an old threshing ring, courtesy of one of the 'Seven Brothers' from Apesha. Since then we've stayed mainly in the Akamas area.
Nostalgia I know, but they remain powerful! Triona & Derek
