Made me smile because it is so true but unfortunately also a little tragic.
In January in the space of 6 days there was 4 accidents (2 fatal) in Candolim. Myself and his geordieness witnessed one fatality involving a moped and a people carrier late one evening by the Dona Alcina, another couple who use our shack also witnessed a fatality by the football pitch in Candolim, also a young American knocked down by the road to the Highlands (seriously injured) and another oldish Western man knocked down - all of this on a short stretch the Candolim Road. Could not work out why so many acidents this year but then realised that the tarmac and the no cattle rule on the roads have now made way for the madness of the Goan driver to take over.
Why oh why do taxi driver believe that I am in so much of rush to get to Calungute that they overtake on a bend whilst using their mobile and combing their hair! Please tell me!!!!"
