Can you clarify that there will be no In-Flight Entertainment (e.g TV screens) apart from the PSP hire and what meals are being served? Many Thanks :)

jonesfour,

You'll find aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). IFE was revoked from narrow bodied aircraft commencing in May 2010. The equipmen is still onboard and used for the safety briefing, but IFE isn't shown. As BEfreeTODAY replied above, if you wan IFE, you can hire the PSP devices or take your own.

We are flying to corfu from Manchester on 16th August flight no. TCX772K, and have booked the 2 seats right at the very back of the aircraft, can anyone tell me what these seats are like?
Reply
fatboyrover,

The seats at the rear are pretty much the same as those in other parts of the aircraft in terms of facilities. However, being towards the rear, you have the galley and toilets so you may be disturbed by passengers and crew going up and down the isle. You can also feel the sensation of flight a little more being at the extreme end of the aircraft, but it's nothing to worry about. Apart from that, they are as good as any others.

Thanks Darren, the reason we chose those seats is that I wanted a window seat and the wife wanted an isle seat and we are both not the smallest persons and it would n`t be fair to the person sat between us getting squashed, we did consider the emergency exit seats but at £30 per person each way we thought that was a bit steep

fatboyrover,
we've also booked the very back two seats as we wanted just 2 seats together, instead of the three in other parts of the plane. We're off on 2nd August.

HI Darren, im new to this and everyone seems to be talking to u!

im flying to domincian republic on 13th September,

pre-booked my seats towards rear of plane,

just wondering if there are certain seats that the crew think are not having food etc, ive prepaid for my food, or it was in with the price anyway, and just wondering if it matters which seats i have booked as to whether they think im having food or not?

Crew have the passenger manifest that lists those who have and haven't got meals booked so it doesn't matter where you sit on the aircraft. As long as you, or members of your party are sat in your allocated seats with booked meals, you'll get them.

Hi there,

Brand new to this forum, so apologies if I am in the wrong place or asking questions already answered.

Right here goes.

Firstly, I am flying Manchester to Sanford at the end of September (30th returning 14th October, flight TCX44K/L) & have read a lot about reduction in leg room & also change in the in-flight entertainment (no head back tv's etc.).

Can anyone please help clear this up.

Secondly, I booked my holiday/flight not through Thomas Cook/flythomascook & I am trying to find out if my wife & I can sit together as an option for this was not offered to me at time of booking?

Is there a time before we fly when I can contact someone to try & pre-book our seats or will it be a case of trying at the airport when we check in?

I hope these two questions make sense.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Regards

Hi Darren, you answered my question a while ago.
TCX406 to Turkey, you said the flight prior was TCX815 from Sharm.
My daughter and family are on this flight tonight 6.55 from Manchester, but that flight from Sharm hasn't even taken off yet, please tell me the routes have changed :cry

If you haven't receive notification of flight changes, they they should be. MAN-SFB-MAN (TCX044K/L) are showing as operated by the usual long haul Airbus A330-200 on my screen. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Seating information is detailed on Thomas Cooks website. You can call them at any time to book seating.

Cheers Darren,

That has put my mind at ease for a while.

I will contact Thomas Cook & see how I get on.

Thanks again.

By the way just rung Thomas Cook & £40 to sit together. Absolute madness.

Will gamble & get the airport early on flight day & see how we get on.

Thanks again.

With reference to my hand luggage question the other day.

I measured my daughters Tinkerbell bag and it measured 40cm without the handle and feet - including these it measures 48.5cm.

Popped into a Thomas Cook today with bag in hand (was about to return it to the Disney shop!). They said they do not take the handle into account. Also it is really upto whoever is checking in the luggage on the day!! They also pointed out that it would have to be a real meany to not let a 6 year old's Tinkerbell bag on the plane for an extra couple of mm's.!!

So I have it from the horses mouth that I can take Tinkerbell on the plane!! Yayy - daughter is happy!!

Sorry to disappoint but it doesn't really matter what the travel agent says, if check in believes the bag is too big for the cabin then they have the final say. Its purely because if every passenger travelled with bags larger than the permitted size there would be no room for them onboard, and would probably cause delays having to put them in the hold!

After having a chat with hubby we have decided to return it to the Disney shop and go for the smaller rucksack version just to be on the safe side. Plus I would probably have ended up pulling it along anyway and giving myself a bad back in the process!!

No problem with weight issues. It's only for her teddy & felt tips etc!!

I am flying to Dalamam Turkey from Gatwick on the 13th September with Thomas Cook. The flight number is TCX448K. Can I find out what type of plane this is and whether there is in flight entertainment on these flights.

Cheers Chloe :)

LGW-DLM-LGW (TCX448K/L) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). There's no IFE shown on these aircraft. Portable players are available for availalbe for hire at £7.50 per flight.

Thanks,

Darren
