PAULYH75,
BHX-ACE-BHX (TCX530K/L) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (same as Thomson Airways reference your previous question). You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide (see below).

Hya dazbo and all other flight experts, flying machester to cancun TCX234K on 22nd march 2010 ( soooooo excited !) and was wondering if this is a 'big plane' as I call it !! Really hope so as when we flew to montego bay last year with TC we flew out on a 2-4-2 configuration with the drop down tellies in the aisle, but got the one with seat back tellies on the way back, which was much better !
You will be pleased to hear your flights will be operated by An Airbus A330-200. (A "big plane").
On your outbound flight last time you would have been on a Boeing 767-300. Probably due to a technical problem or Maintenance on the A330.
Anyway, more infomation on both aircraft types on our what aircraft? thread (linked in my signature)

cheers for that gower, so happy to hear that !!!
Don't know if anyone can help we are flying from East mids to Lanz in March on Thomas Cook. Flight numbers are TCX515K/L does anyone know what aircraft it will be and if leg room seats are available
Thanks for any help Rob
Thanks Darren your a star
going to jamaica in march will there be more leg room than short haul flights
Long haul flights are operated by larger aircraft; Airbus A330-200. These have 33" seat pitch in economy rather than 28-30" on the short haul aircraft. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below).

Not practical in Europe I suppose but one day you never know.

Thanks for that Papa, it is interesting.
For any general discussion about excess baggage, not specifically related to Thomas Cook, please feel free to use the
chrissy, I hope you don't get the plane flying out to jamaica as we had last year, a 767, not quite as comfy as the 'big plane' on the way back, still , it got us there in one piece which is all that matters !!!!
Looking to fly to Sanford 5th June 2010 with Thomas Cook from Manchester. Having a look at Premier Class for the extra legroom, it talks about wider, leather seats but it doesn't mention about more legroom. I know it will be a 33" pitch in economy, can anyone tell me what the pitch will be in Premier?
Also, is there any specific row(s) in Premier Class that are better than others for legroom? Just in case I pay for the seat reservations and can then pick a 'good' row!
Cheers
You'll find aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below). The premium cabin offers 35" seat pitch. Seat widths are 18" in the premium cabin compared to 17" in the economy cabin. The front row offers slightly more legroom but it has the bulkhead infront so those with longer legs might not be able to stretch out. These are also designated medical seats. Apart from that, they all offer the same seat pitch. Seating is always personal preferance.
Darren
premium economy 35 inch pitch 2-3-2 config details can be found on the
I have two options with flights on the date I want to fly - Fly Thomas Cook or Virgin Atlantic. TC Premium is £100pp more expensive than Virgin economy. I know we shall get slightly more legroom and width with the Premium seats but is the service, meals etc worth the extra £100?
Just looking for some opinions please, I know it is all on personal taste but any views from someone who has experienced either or both of them would be greatly appreciated
thanks
It's personal preference really. I travel with Thomas Cook annually and although they aren't the best in the world (in my opinion), they offer a perfectly acceptable service. If you feel you'd like the extra legroom, you may find the extra outlay of TCX premium worthwhile. Personally, I find TCX's economy cabin fine and save the money for diving when I get to my destination! You'll also have a greater luggage allowance in TCX premium. Meals are personal preference but I wouldn't say there's much in it. You'll also have the added benefit of priority check-in and baggage with TCX premium. It really is personal preference with pro's and cons of each.
