Have tried ringing, they were not interested at all!
Just book it with DH and if the price rises you will be gutted.
If it's just the idea of paying over the phone or internet that bothers you if you book with DH, how about the old fashioned way - send a cheque through the post? Think you'd have to pay the deposit with your card, but when you get your invoice they also send you a remittance slip that you can use for a postal payment for the remainder.
I've just booked with DH on the phone, couldn't leave it incase the price went up.
Great So can you let us in on the big secret now you've booked it?! Where are you going?
Haha, no big secret, I was just worried somebody else would book it and there would be no room left, PARANOIA! The dates are all on the Caribbean board anyway
Looks and sounds fantastic! Have a great time
1. The crew were extremly rude and had no customer service skills
2. No main film - but no appology given
3. No pampering packs , again no appology
4. Never sure when the films started , and had to wait an hour and a half before they first stared so they could sell the headsets to rest of plane. No stop /pause/rewind as on First choice
5. Meals were not a patch on F/C
6.The plane was old and tatty inside
We have just booked Egypt for August - with FIRST CHOICE !!
i'm also looking at a holiday, for june 2010, and on direct holidays website its £100 cheaper than on TC website, even though on TC website it says "Holiday Provided By Direct Holidays". I phoned TC and asked if they'd price match it and they say they can't because direct holidays is part of their company!! I couldn't believe that a holiday provided by DH was more expensive on TC's website, I don't understand it at all!
well thomas cook doing Ok up to now by me....I found holiday on thomas cooks internet site...that had a £395 on line discount....didnt fancy doing over net so phoned local shop.... they matched the internet price so I booked it right away....pick the paperwork up tommorrow..... Carol...well done...as long as everything else goes well should be first week in july on surprise 50th for hubby... cant wait to see his face
well if it helps anybody any...and i know its slightly off topic lol, but i was in direct holidays store today, and if you get a price on thomas cook website and direct holiday do the same holiday and TC is cheaper...DH WILL price match TC, even though TC can't match DH!
Need to pay my final balance for my holiday in a few weeks, if I pay by credit card does anyone no what the fee is that I will get charged on top, I have heard some companys don't charge a credit card fee, but thought I would see in advance. Many thanks vickie
think its 2.5% of amount you pay....as thats what mine worked out as...paid it today...if same for you will be £2.50 for every hundred paid...
Many thanks tweetie pie, not sure whether to pay by credit card or my normal visa debit!!, got two more weeks to think about it!!
Hi, yes its definately 2.5% which is a hefty fee on top of your holiday, but you can get a TC credit card, pay with that and not be charged a fee, you also earn points every time you use it which can be redeemed off a next holiday or your travel money.
I must look into that for next year juby5...thanks...cost me £48 this time...they charge as its what the visa company charge them.....most bussiness dont pass it on...just glad to get the custom it would bring....but like most dealings with travel agents airlines ect ....they would have to pay if you used a cheque...but cant do over the phone and could get lost in post...more protection using visa...and they know it
just a quikie....thomascooks on line booking calendar is wrong for july....when you click to look up dates...days are not right for the date....have 6th july as a tuesday...its a monday...so go by date you want to go not week day...comes out fine once you click on date and it comes up in window...does then say mon 6th....if booking in a hurry or being distracted could make a mistake if you want a particular day to travel on.
Sure you are not looking at july 2010
