That may well sway us not going back to Cuba..... what on earth made them do that considering most of the hotels in their brochure are in Varadero?

I really dont know other than they are trying to tap into the Havana market from London but Varadero has been on and off for Thomson/First Choice for about 10 years now i wish they would make their mind up.

Varadero is still available from MAN if thats a possibility

Hi Darren / BY-TOM-AMM-FCA / et al,
3 questions please! Just booked (hence quite excited!!) LGW>CUN on Thu 7/10/10.
1. (sorry the usual) Ex FCA or TOM 763/76W?
2. Where does it usually fly in from?
3. Can we pre-select our seats having booked Premium? (for free?)
Thanks in advance for your help (as per usual!).

rhodgreen,

LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM092/3) are operated by a former First Choice 76W. The aircraft normally comes in from Varadero, Cuba (TOM082/3). You can prebook seating (select your seat) by phoning up to 90 days before your departure date, or 60 days online. Details are on their website.

Hi

I am flying with Thomson Airways from Glasgow to Ibiza on 28 August TOM1608. Was just wondering if anyone knew the configaration for this aircraft? I am travelling with a 10 month old and was wondering where the best seat was to sit.

Thanks

Jill04,

Welcome onboard :tup
GLA-IBZ-GLA (TOM1608/9) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including aircraft and cabin photos, and a seating plan. Seating is personal preference and there aren't really any best seats, it's just whatever you prefer. All seats offer the same basic facilities. Given you have a 10 month old with you, you aren't permitted to sit in an exit row.

Just booked our seats (6F&G) - was told that as we have an infant she had to check what was already booked as in Premium only one infant is allowed per row as there's only one spare O2 mask per row.
Not an issue, but just curious if anyone's come across this before?
We've flown Virgin twice this year and have had 2 infants in the same row each time!
Thanks.

The Boeing 767-300/ER and 747-400 are very different aircraft.

Hey,

A few weeks back I confirmed that TOM4470 and TOM4471 (LGW-HER/HER-LGW) would be a 752,

Any more info on what one of Thomson's 757s it will be?

Thanks!

flyingtiger,

Please refer to previous replies to your posts. It depends when you are travelling as aircraft are rotated almost weekly.

Ah ok.

The flight is on the 12th of August. I understand that the aircraft may be rotated, just wondered if there would be a rough idea now we are nearer the time :)
Thanks anyway

Last week it was an ex-thomsonfly aircraft but it varies there is no noticable difference between them really, some have 4 some have 3 toilets and some tvs are above the seats some above the aisle. All but one have blue thomson seating. I wouldn't get hung up on what airline the aircraft used to fly for when the 757's are involved.

Hello good people, time to ask the experts again.

Off to DR from Newcastle first week in October so it is almost time to choose the seats. Are Thomson still running ex FCA 767's on long haul and if so can you tell me at which row the non premium cabin starts please.

Thanks in advance.

humanist,

Please quote flight numbers / specific destination when requesting aircraft information as there are often multiple flights. I'll assume you're looking at the TOM676/7 to Punta Cana. These flights are operated by former First Choice 76W's. You'll find seat plans linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below) with row information.
