debbilou,
TOM822/3 are scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul / winglets), there are no changes as we've mentioned previously. Flight Stats isn't always accurate. The last flight was operated by G-OBYI (76W), and G-OBYH (76W) the week before. There is a flight departing 30 minutes later (TOM592/3) that is operated by a Boeing 757-200.

many thanks Darren for the prompt reply. You have put my mind at rest now.sorry to be a pest!
Please can anyone tell me if I can book our outbound 90 days before and then call back 90 days before our inbound to book these or do both have to be booked at the same time ? Just thinking of how to maximise our chances of getting that side of the plane for both legs of the journey
Thanks all again for your adivce, much appreciated
Has any one got any idea of the IFE for september yet? flying to Cancun 16th sep premium cabin can't wait.
september IFE wil not be available for release till the end of august.. watch out for them posted by BY-Tom-
The current listing (July / August) is linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below) but as Wizard mentions, the next listing (Sept / October) isn't released until the end of this month. As soon as it's posted, it'll be linked from the What Aircraft? guide.

Seating information is available on Thomsons website. You can select your seats by phone from 90 days before departure (both sectors), or online from 60 days.

Just so that you know on ex-FCA 767s the seats are arranged:
AB-CDE-FG (so I wouldn't get A&C like you said!).
Personnaly, I prefer FG to AB as there's less movement on this side with the toilet's being on the left and people embarking / dissembarking on the left - which is only ever an issue when boarding the return flight as the foreign airports tend to use door 1, the premium passengers board first, get their / our glass of fizzy and then everyone else brushes past!
Nothing wrong with row 6 either - I try to avoid the first 2 rows as when you sit in row 6 you can see the sides of the fusalage curving in reducing the window seat's shoulder room (hope this makes sense!).
Hope this helps!
and thanks again Darren.......I'll ring them 90 days prior to our departure and hope to our seat preference booked up
It will make our trip feel more real once the seats are booked
Hi we're flying from Manchester to Sharm el Sheik on 24.10.10 flight TOM 546 (547 return on 31.10) we've booked extra legroom seats but read a review somewhere in my various searches that there were no obvious extra legroom seats available, rather confused now, wanted to treat hubby as holiday is for our silver wedding - any advice on type of plane, seat choice would be most welcome, thanks.
Hi, im wondering if anyone knows what the ex-First choice 767 aircraft will be used for once the 787 planes start operating? Will they still be used on long haul or start operating with the ex-Thomsonfly aircraft on short-mid haul routes, or just scrapped or possibly leased? Any info would be nice
We are booked on TOM 882 on Sat 14 Aug (not 822) and that was showing (and still is no certain web sites as a 767) but the select a seat on First choice web site shows a 757, and it departs an hour and a half earlier at 14:00hrs!!!!!
Could it be 882 and not 822?
Each of the ex-fca aircraft will have different fates, in the short term all will stay as is until the 787 has been flying 8-12 months. Some will be scrapped and some utilised on shorter long haul routes, apart from the odd flight they won't be used for short haul, and probably not mid haul as they have completed far too many cycles (flights) to be used on intensive shorter flights these aircraft at approaching 20 years old and most will be by the time the 787 arrives. Others will be re-leased to other operators outside of the tui group- they don't have enough seats for the likes of arkefly, tuifly or corsair.
In addtion to BY-TOM-AMM-FCA's post,
Do TUI actually own their own aircraft or are they leased?
I will be flying on a Thomson 757-200 this Summer to Turkey and have a question. I wanted to select my seats online, and the following rows are available: 14-20.
I was wondering which row was best to see the IFE screens as I don't want our necks to be strained, nor do I want us not to be able to see the screen!
Thanks for your help,
S
MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM546/7) are scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including a seating plan where extra legroom seats are highlighted. Seating is really personal preference.
Darren
Seating is personal preference. IFE screens are located every 4 rows above the isle so all seats have a screen in view.
Darren
thanks for your help
Well done on your observation skills, you are so right. I was the one who posted a question regarding flight Tom 822. I have posted incorrect info and I am actually on the TOM 882. However, on booking the seats the seat plan was showing that of a 767!
