Hello :)

I Wondered What The Registration Of My Aircraft Is And What Type Of Aircraft It Is.

Its The TOM6144 On 18th May Cardiff-LasPalmas And The TOM6145 On The 25th May LasPalmas-Cardiff.

I Also Wanted To Know What Inflight Meals Would Be Served On Both Flights.

Thank You :cheers

LiamScott95,

Welcome onboard :tup
CWL-LPA-CWL (TOM6144/5) are operated by Boeing 757-200. I can't give you a registration as they are rotated regularly for maintenace. It won't make any different as all the aircraft are the same (should be a former Thomsonfly aircraft). You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA posted meal information here.

Currently, they are the following:

G-OBYF - 328Y
G-OBYH - 328Y
G-OBYD - 328Y (ex-long haul / seat back IFE)
G-OBYE - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)
G-OBYG - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)
G-OBYI - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)

This will change at the end of the winter season with only 2x long haul configured aircraft and 5 short haul (+ 6x ex-FCA aircraft all long haul; 63P, 195Y).

Darren can up update this please.

Hi there,

Does anyone know what TOM aircraft is operating SSH to MAN today Flight TOM 547?

Or... Does anyone know which Aircraft went out this morning on the outbound flight TOM 546 from MAN??

Flight Stats still states its a 767, however last weekend it also said 767 and in fact was a 757.

Cheers

Rick

Hi Guys new to this, so please be gentle. I have looked through the various flight pages for Thomson and the seat configurations and cannot find the answer to my query so please forgive me if you have answered this a trillion times. I am going to Jamaica next year (sad I know that I am excited now) flight number Tom030 booked the Premium seats. At the time of booking I asked if I could actually book the specific seat numbers (as I did several years previously). I was told you can't do this anymore but just turn up early on the day of travel..... I obviously don't mind paying and not sure this information was correct. The holiday is booked with first choice, and using Thomson Aircraft, so I have tried phoning the head office of Thomson only to give up after 30 minutes waiting in a queue. Can you help please, Ideally I would like seats in the front.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My little boy will be having his 4th birthday in the air!
Would i be able to arrange anything for him? like going and looking in the cockpit or anything?
Flying with Thomson to dalaman, Turkey (going to FC holiday village).
I didnt think they let people in there anymore for security reasons but easyjet had kids looking round in feb when i went to Gran Canaria.

RickTT,

MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM546/7) is listed as operating as a 763. However, as you mention it was operated by C-CPEU (75W) last week. That could have been a one-off because it's the first flight of the season. TOM546 isn't logged on ACARS from this morning as yet, I'll check again later.

Miss Pink,

Welcome onbaord :tup
It's far too early to be looking at booking seats as I doubt an aircraft has been assigned to the flight as yet. As you'll have seen from looking through the pages, there are a couple of aircraft configurations which will be even more confusing next year (May 2010 as long as Boeing get their act together) when a new aircraft type joins the fleet. You'll be able to 'select your seat' closer to the time. It's currently 6 weeks prior to your departure date.

vicky06,

That's a great way to spend your birthday. I'll be spending mine aboard a Let 410 and Saab 340 over the Irish Sea! Unfortately, 11th September 2001 put an end to flight deck visits. Only crew are permitted in to the flight deck. This includes on the ground as it's Thomson policy to allow no visits (having requested this in March). Other airlines will happily let you have a look at the flight deck once the aircraft is shut down and secure, but TOM won't for some reason. There's no harm in asking though once you land. Flight crew are normally more than happy to talk you through their 'office' and love talking about flying, but rules are rules. I used to love sitting in the flight deck in the cruise but all the new security policies has put an end to it, all because of a few mindless idiots.

Thanks Darren, we are actually going April next year, so I will be able to book actual seats numbers 6 weeks prior to travel, I now know I can't do that yet, but just for info, how do I do it then? Tickets ususally arrive 2 weeks prior to travel, so I assume I don't wait till then as 'my' seats could be taken? Sorry if the answer is obvious, but I assume that I do not get any more information from First Choice/Thomson until ticket arrival?

Thanks

Miss Pink,

At present, you can select your seat at a cost of £5 per flight (£10 return) 6 weeks before your departure date. This might be extended by the time you come to fly. You just need to call the airline and they'll tell you which seats are available so you can choose the ones you want. This can only be done over the phone at the moment. They used to do it online so they'll hopefully bring this facillity back at some point. You'll find contact details in my post to Littlebit. Unless there's a change to your booking, you probably won't get anything else until your tickets arrive. you can check on Thomas Airways website for the latest information.

:rofl You should be so lucky!! At around £7,000 an hour for a moderate business jet charter up to £15,000+ for something a bit posher, probably not!!

MAN-SHH-MAN (TOM772/3) are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (328Y - short haul). You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread.
