Thanks Darren for the reply,
Is there a difference in the width of the seats flying with Thomson, (Premium/Economy), as
the lady I am travelling with is a little larger makes sense to have the widest seat with liftable armrests, can you advise please
Other than Thomson, Thomas Cook and Cosmos are there any other chartered flight carriers that fly to Sanford from Gatwick/Heathrow
If I travel scheduled who would be best to fly with (direct) Virgin or BA, sorry for all the questions, would love to wait until May to book,(after finding out what plane it is) but probably flights would have gone, so just need biggest width and liftable armrests, wether in Economy or Premium
Thanks in advance, waiting in anticipation :D

magrog76,

Seat widths on the two variations are pretty much the same. The main difference between the two premium cabins is an extra 1" seat pitch on the ex-Thomsonfly (37" as oposed to 36") and the arm rests on the ex-FCA are fixed. Cosmos aren't an airline, they are the holiday company associated with Monarch Airlines. Seat width on their A332's are the same in premium economy and slightly less in economy. Who else to fly with comes down to personal preference and cost. Both BA and Vigin offer less seat pitch in economy than Thomson Airways (31" compared to 33" in economy). Seat widths are roughly the same. If legroom isn't your biggest priority, they might be worth a look. Unless you look as business or first class with scheduled airlines, seat width in economy or premium economy aren't that much different regardless of who you fly with.

Please supply flight numbers when you can. MAN-POP-MAN (TOM122/3) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Ok, thank you for the info and responding so quickly. I heard that Thomas cook and Thomson are sharing some flights from cardiff this summer, i dont know if it is true ?

meyrick,

It's common practice for tour operators to have an allocation on other airlines. Given both airlines have flights operating from CWL however, most passengers will have flights on their respective airlines. If dates of travel suite the other flight, tour operators can book other airlines too to suite passenger needs.

Hi

Can ony one help me please.

I am flying Newcastle -Cancun TOM 0348 -Newcastle TOM 0349 on 16th June could you advise what aircraft this will be? I understand this calls at Manchester going out would this be to collect passsengers or to top up fuel? Iam thinking of Premium seating and have been quoted £170 pp return is this a good price?
Reply
PollyA,

Your flights are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). £170 for the premium cabin is slightly less than average so it's a good price. The stop in Manchester is for fuel as Newcastles runway at 2,369m isn't long enough to take off fully fuelled. Both of Manchesters runways are over 3,000m.
