Thanks Dazbo for all the info, will have to remember to tell the pilot to avoid the Potholes
hi we are flying to lanzarote on the 8th august from birmingham flight no TOM7762 .could you please tell me what type of plane it will be and if its thomson or x first choice as we booked with first choice .thanks
Welcome onboard
BHX-ACE-BHX (TOM7762/3) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). Other than the seat design, the ex-TOM and ex-FCA aircraft are the same inside so it makes little difference. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below).

thanks daren for the info
It is perhaps a bit too soon to ask the query but I would like to know the type of aircraft on the Man-PFO sector : TOM 2730 flying out on 27th June 2010. I need to choose my extra leg room seats. Does it have a premium cabin - not sure it being only a short haul only. Thanking you in anticipation of the advice.
I was on the phone to my ta today and i mentioned to her about api, why she hadnt told us about it, and she said becasue we had booked well over a year ago we dont need to do the before hand api. it only became compulsary for bookings made after october. she is however going to double check all the same but i have already done mine but there are another 20 in our party.
We are flying with Thomsons to Holguin on 26th April from Gatwick - Flight TOM094
Can you tell me if this is a Thomsons or First Choice aircraft, as I have read a few posts saying both, a little confused at the moment.
I'd love to see a few photos of the premium section of the one we'll be on, because I believe they are a little different, and I've only seen the Thomsons , not that I intend doing anything about it, just interested where I'll be spending 10Hrs- ish on our first Long Haul flight.
Thanks
gussiebaby
MAN-PFO-MAN (TOM2730/1) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Extra legroom seats are on rows 12 and 32. This type doesn't have a premium cabin. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below).
Darren
That's not my understanding. It's applicable to all passengers travelling regardless of when you booked. The fact you've already entered your details online shows it was required. Your booking wouldn't have been on the system otherwise.
Darren
LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM094/5) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft information including seat plans and cabin photos of both the premium and economy cabins on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). I've done 14 hours on one, they're nice enough.

Thanks Darren

She is going to phone me back tomorrow so ill let u know what she says and i let her know what i now know from yourself. being a thomson travel agents u would think they should know right away but then on saying that they aint been the best they got our booking (and i can tell u it was the best part of 37g).
Global Baggage Solutions at Manchester tell me it never left Innsbruck ,Thomsons did not even know that this flights ski luggage did not make it back and they have no record of these items being lost and told me to ring the claims department on Monday,I am at my wits end, no one wants to help ,We cant afford to lose this amount of things and it has really put a damper on what was a fantastic holiday ...
Flight no TOM 2659
Sorry to hear of your problems. I hope your luggage was insured? Have you got your baggage tag numbers? As long as you have those and you are able to give the numbers to the handling agents, they should be able to track them down. I've had a similar problems in the past and got my bags delivered to my home address a few days later via courier. Don't panic yet, I'm sure they're somewhere. It's not like you can misplace a snowboard! Try as you've been advised and speak to claims on Monday, but make sure you give them your baggage tag numbers. It makes location easier. Rather than using the premium rate numbers, try one of those listed on Say No to 0870.

I did have insurance but upon reading it ,it only covers me for lost luggage on the outward journey ,I had no idea that you were only insured for one way ...another lesson learnt..
In my experience, baggage barcodes simply don't get ripped off as long as they are correctly applied. If they did, the baggage system would simply grind to a holt as the baggage handling systems at airport are hightly automated and reply on them. They are very strong and I've never had one come off. I'm sure they'll be tracable then with the tag numbers. The handling agents should be in contact with the handlers in Innsbruck to trace the bags and put them on the next available flight to the UK. Once they are found, the handlers in the UK should then make arrangements to courier the bags to your home address, the reason for the form you filled in. That's the theory behind it anyway! These things sometimes take a little while, but I'm sure you'll get them back. My dads work bag once went missing when his flight from Stockholm was cancelled due to a technical problem so he was brough back via Dusseldorf. His bag ended up going via Hong Kong don't ask me how!. We know because it had a HKG tag on it! He got it back 3 weeks later. It'll be somewhere and should turn up eventually. It seams a bit strange your insurance only covers lost luggage one way. Is that not just the purchase of new items in the interim? Just shows you need to read the small print. Fingers crossed for you.
Darren
By baggage handlers do you mean Global Baggage Solutions Manchester ,if so they have told me it is nothing to do with them and untill Thomsons get the missing items flown back it is out of their hands ,is this true or are they fobbing me off? BTW thanks for your input its so nice to discuss it with someone who is willing to listen!
