Hi Darren,
We are flying from Birmingham to Faro on 10th June on TOM7406 return TOM7407. What aircraft are these and do they have in flight entertainment?
Any info much appreciated.
Sarah
sarahavfc1,
BHX-FAO-BHX (TOM7406/7) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). IFE is provided via overhead screens above the isle. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Thanks
Thanks
jamie09,
NCL-PUJ-NCL (TOM676/7) are likely to be operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER.

Thanks for that,
The flights seem to be quite cheap. Do you know if they are filling many seats?
Thankyou.

Hi, I am thinking about booking a flight to Cancun in August with Thomson. We flew last year from Gatwick last year with no problems. However this time we would like to fly from Bristol or Birmingham, I believe last year, flights from Birmingham refueled at manchester but it appears that this year this is happening on the Bristol flight. We really dont want to do this so I was wondering if anyone knows for sure which flights are direct?
Many Thanks
Many Thanks
tashasmum,
The flights are direct, however they aren't non-stop. There's a subtle difference in the definations used in aviation. The Bristol flight operates BRS-MAN-CUN-BRS (TOM518/9). It's due to the runway in BRS not being long enough to allow the aircraft to take off with the required fuel. It operates as follows:
Dep BRS Sat 07:40, Arr MAN 08:30, Boeing 767-300/ER (Winglets), Flight No: TOM518
Dep MAN Sat 09:30, Arr CUN 14:00, Boeing 767-300/ER (Winglets), Flight No: TOM518
The flight is on the ground in MAN for an hour. The Birmingham flights (TOM568/9 & TOM392/3) are non-stop.

Hello, can anyone tell me if you get blankets or pillows on Thomsonfly no frills flights? Our return flight leaves Paphos at 22.15 and arrives 0115.
Thanks

Travelling to the Dominican Republic, booked through First Choice, just curious what our plane will be. A FC or Tom one? Also we have not purchased the right to being able to choose our seats. I assume me and my gf will be able to sit together when checking in normally.

james_d,
Welcome onboard
Your flights, LGW-LRM-LGW (TOM062/3) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER, probably from the former Thomsonfly fleet. We can't be sure at this stage as things change from winter to summer season first week of May. As you have't pre-booked seating together / select your seat there are no guarantees you'll be allocated seating together. However, seating is pre-allocated the day before the flight using a computer model so the vast majority are seated together.

Darren,
Thanks for your quick reply, looking forward to the trip. Just trying to save as much money as possible as youngsters.
So are the Tom 767s in 2-4-2 format as opposed to the FC 2-3-2?

james_d,
That's correct. We'll be able to confirm it for you at the end of the first week of May. You'll find lots of aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Recently returned from DR after holiday with Thomson. We had a delay of 23hrs 30 minutes!!! on outward flight after a "technical fault" (we believe it was a burst tyre on take off) was discovered 2 hours out in the Atlantic which forced a (very slow)return to Gatwick and an overnight stop at the Hilton. Meals were also provided.
Thompson insist that they have done everything that they are required to do in a case of such a delay and have told us to claim on our travel insurance. This will not yield very much compensation (we think about £35 per person). Has anyone viewing managed to get anything out of Thomson in a similar case??

Sorry you got no claim agaist Thomson.
