sorry, just got slightly confused. been told we're flying on a 767-300 but this looks like a long haul plane and we're flying shorthaul (22nd may, manchester to reus). one website has shown this aircraft to have seat back tv's and another site has shown tv's in the aisles. any help?

jadeyrawrr,

What are your flight numbers? Thomson Airways operate both long haul and short haul configured Boeing 767-300/ER's. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). There are two flights from MAN-REU on a Saturday; TOM2658/9 and TOM2694. Both are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). I suspect you'll be travelling on G-OBYH that is the aircraft without seat back IFE and in a high density (328 seat) configuration for short haul. However there are other aircraft that have seat back IFE that are also used on short haul routes. Aircraft are rotated on a regular basis.

I know I'm early as I'm still waiting for my April holiday, but I like to keep an eye on flights and notice that Thomson are flying to Monastir from Stansted on Wednesdays later in the year at a very decent price. However, not only do you have to add the cost of hold luggage (£20) but there seems to be nowhere to say you don't want the transfer or to remove the £15 for this. No hurry as I'm not booking yet but any help would be appreciated.

aslemma,

Are you looking at a package deal or flight only? I assume it's flight only if you need to add luggage. If it's flight only, you shouldn't have transfers included? STN-MIR-STN (TOM618/9) are scheduled to be operated by an Airbus A320-200.

That's what I thought Darren. They do ask if you want to add a hotel, which I don't, but they also ask for 'select transfer' with a drop down list of towns, and even though I haven't selected anywhere they still add £15 :que They do say that the transfer is usually only to the town and passengers may have to finish their journey to their hotel by other means, which would certainly put me off using it. No worries as I won't be going back again until early October but it's nice to have another option instead of only Thomas Cook from Stansted.

Hi Aslemma
I have just tried this route with Thomson and it is giving the option to say no to transfers at no charge. Why it is different is anybody's guess :que

I've tried it again Sunaddict and this time transfers weren't added automatically so perhaps there was a glitch in the system previously!

Hi all,

A querie that has sprung to mind! I am flying with Thomson Premier, LGW-Cancun, and you've already kindly told me it will be a 767-300ER either ex Thomson or First Choice aircraft. What I'm wondering is what are the table trays like on these aircrafts? Do they fold out from the seat infront, or do they come from the armrest? I ask as I am 17 stone and a size 22, and on my last flight from LGW to Boa Vista, Cape Verde, with Thomson, I found the tabletray to be a tight fit. I guess in Premier the talbe will be a few inches further away, and am mostly worried about the space if it comes from the armrest.

Thankyou for your help, xxx

Hi Darren

Just letting you know I have successfully booked our seats for our Manchester to Turkey flight TOM512 on the 15t June 2010.

Not having booked inflight meals we are sat at the rear of the aircraft, rows 43 A/B and 44 A/B, do you know if we will have windows.

Also do you know where I can view the cabin layout. The one I have chosen my seats from is a bit vague to say the least.

Regards
The Preacher

Sorry, just to add to above question, do you know the depth from seatback to tabletray on both aircraft? I guess that would be the best thing to find out. I know that one's a very specific question, so no probs if you don't know the answer.
Thanks again, xxx

kwikslipgirl,

The tray tables on the former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300/ER's are the usual drop down from the seat back variety. The ones on the former First Choice 763's fold out from the arm rest. I can't give you a measurement from the seat face to the tray table, I can't say it's something I've measured!

The Preacher,

Seat plans are linked from our What Aircraft? guide for all the aircraft types. Rows 43 & 44 have windows.
