Welcome onboard
MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM144/5) are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Brilliant .
Hi flying to Cancun from Manchester Tom 144/5 on 18th June for our honeymoon.
iwb100,
We are booked on TOM 144 on Sat 30th June. Are you able to advise which flight we should be looking at to track the plane on its way in?
paulbos,
Cheers, is there any way of determining what layout of that plane it will be? There seems to be several....unless I'm missing something!
All the information is on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including seat plans and aircraft / cabin photos if you click on the various links. The aircraft you're flying on is a former First Choice.

Darren,
Not even an episode of the obligatory TopGear :-(

I'm afraid not. You'll have to fly long haul for that! It was the Bolivia Special up to the end of April, a pretty good one that.
Darren
Would I be correct in saying that most definitely the flights to Cancun from Manchester are using the ex First Choice Boeing 767-300s, with the 2 3 2 seating arrangement?
Brilliant thank you so much - MUCH prefer the ex-FC planes!
Qman,
Do you know what aircraft type is used on this route please?
Also, I've read on the forum and on Skytrax that Thomson are re-introducing inflight meals. When booking, the website only advertised the inflight snack service (soup, bacon rolls etc.), but didn't give me the option the book a meal. Do you know if the meals are only on certain flights, possibly longer flights?
I must be one of the minority who actually quite enjoyed the inflight meals... Sad I know!
Thanks in advance.
Also I wonder why Thomson have gone for the GE engine when they have had good service from their RRs on the 757s?
It is nice to buy British when you can.
MAN-JMK-MAN (TOM2530/1) are scheduled to be operated by Boeing 737-300. However, the -300's were supposed to be retired from the fleet at the end of last month although flight logs show they are still operational.
Darren
The first is test registration ZA317, l/n 92. They already operate GE engines on the 767 fleet and once the calculations were done, were the preferred option over RR for the types of missions flown.
Darren
Do you know anything about the inflight meals Darren? Reading posts on Skytrax, people said they'd been reintroduced. Not sure if this just applies to longer flights such as Cape Verde though?
Thanks again.
With the IFE (on the 767-300ER) ranging from May-June, our flight is on the 30th June. Does this mean we will be getting what you have put up now?
Thanks,
Luke
