The 5kg's might be a struggle for me by the time I've got the things for one of the girls in and my bumbag with purse, passports and camera case attached to the side strap, iPod, Kindle, DS and jewellery box, I'm going to be very close to if not over the 5kg's. Even now we've got children, my husband and I still go by the valuable, sentimental, electronic in hand luggage.
Thanks for the warning, good to know that Thomson are going down the Ryanair route.
I always take a fleece with zip pockets, and they are stuffed full and hubby's jacket has a few pockets and they're full too (with my stuff )
Not like Ryanair, at least you can still buy airside and carry that on the aircraft as well.
The aircraft operating LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM022/3) should be coming in from Montego Bay, Jamaica. If you ask closer to the time, I should be able to confirm it for you.
Darren
Your flights are operated by Boeing 757-200 so 3-3. You are permitted one item of hand luggage per person up to the prescribed size and weight limit, that is often checked.
Darren
Thanks Dazbo, will pack back pack so that bum bag fits in when it needs to.
thanks for that Dazbo, what would be playing on my flight to marrakech on monday from manchester on the overhead ife.
Without giving away secrets (that I'm sure the check in staff know about anyway) - don't forget about the "hidden" pockets on your push-chairs that you can fill for check-in and then empty at the gate when handing over the buggies!
We've taken an extra hand baggage for the little one dangling off the push chair each time - check in staff either don't notice or are helpful in turning a blind eye! Crew have never said anythign about me walking on board with 4 bags!!
We haven't had our hand luggage weighed for ages (both TOM and TCX).
Darren,
Have you got the summer lists yet?
If so - can you confirm LGW SSH TOM632 is still a 752 on 28/5.
Ta.
razza923,
rhodgreen,
is the aircraft operating my flight a B737-800 & thanks for the fast response.
Which flight is that? What are your flight numbers? TOM810/1? If so, it's the Boeing 737-300. These don't have IFE onboard.
Darren
Monday 25th April - TOM 484
You beat me to it!! TOM484/811 are operated by Boeing 737-300. These don't have IFE onboard.
Darren
Dazbo haha!! awww , i was looking forward to having IFE on that 4-5 hour flight, hopefully there will be a last minute plane change
Hi All,
It makes little difference, they are all the same inside! G-BYAP is up there at the moment. Have a great holiday
Darren
rhodgreen: Thanks for the info, the baskets under the pushchair seats are quite small and hard to get to if the seats are fully reclined which is likely due to the time that we'll be arriving at the airport. The bags for the girls things are gymsack type ones and fit into the top of mine and hubby's hand luggage.
You can keep your puchchair until you board the aircraft at which time it'll be taken from you and placed in the hold of the aircraft. It's not counted as luggage.
Darren
Cheers Darren
I know the pushchair itself can be taken to the gate but just checking that the bag it goes in will be ok.
