Hi david, we were originally booked to go on the 2nd, but as we are cancelling, we'll go on the 3rd with jet 2 (as the flight times are better than the 2nd - and cheaper ) So it will be from the 3rd - 10 October!

Catherine - The hotels listed are great prices, but when you click onto them, and I put my dates in they are coming up as unavailable!

David will look on alpha rooms now, I have been originally looking for half board, but may have to start looking at s/c .

Kath - Did notice that hotel available on a few websites, (was hoping to find somewhere a bit central - but it's getting to the stage where I can't be choosy!) - Just noticed (this min), that jet 2 are offering that hotel and flights for £818 for the three of us, - think that's looking good at the moment, - just going to check reviews out - and if good, will book it!

Last minute.com is offering the Princessa too but B&B (and a couple of other ones)

Holidayrooms direct offering Magic Rock.

Im not sure what any of the reviews are for these places, so please check, as I would hate you to book something and it not be right.

Catherine, will try again, on there again, because they were very good prices, - it will more than likely be something I've done wrong (If I'm daft enough to book a holiday for 08,instead of 07, then anything is possible - ), I've also had a prob with some pages coming up blank, (and a message saying "Please allow cookie's), so I've managed to sort that out a couple of mins ago, - so will try again - thanks!

Try calling the hotel direct and see what they can offer you. I often use trip advisor for the comments of those who have stayed there. You can put in a check rates and again if it is not available then it will tell you. What about the Benidorm Tourist board.
I have been away and you may have tried all these options. If JET2 can book you a hotel and it is available then check out that same hotel yourself. I know at this stage I too would be a bit panic stricken.

Keep strong you will find something and better than what Thomsons were offering you. You most of all need to be somewhere safe.

After spending most of yesterrday and this morning trying to find suitable accomm - and even booking the ambassador with benidirmhotels for £413, I got an email from them saying the hotel was not available, ok then what hotels do you have?"Well we're fully booked, we only have a couple of available hotels in the old town (Never heard of them) - Why the hell you still offering a number of hotels on your website then? :

That's it, I've had a belly full of all this marlarky,-I thought, I'm just gonna cancel this hol (and buy a nice 36inch telly ).

Just getting ready to meet my mum in the town to cancel, when I get a call off thomson's to say if I would like to call down to the shop in town, they will upgrade me free of charge to a 5* platinum hotel, (Just 3 mile out of benidorm) - well I nearly ran down to that shop (Incase they changed their minds ) - I couldn't believe, for the past few day's they had refused to do anything at all to help, - saying I would have to foot the bill, - I can't believe their change of heart - (Mum was skipping all the way home ), this hotel should have been £2,000 for the three of us for 1 week, (We only payed £568) - still can't believe it!

But thanks to everyone who has kept in touch via pm asking how I've been getting on, thanks for your support, and kind wishes, and help looking for alternative accoms, etc...- You've been great

Sticking to your guns pays off bbb, and it was lucky the hotel you booked was fully booked, that would left you with a decision, to 5* or to 5*.

Thanks for that can't! - I am really looking forward to going now,(despite been so stressed for the last week) at least we won't be worrying uneccesarily now! Yep you are so right about sticking to my guns (and fighting it out with em) - makes you wonder how many people, will not have not taken it any further, and just accepted what they were trying to fob me off with - (about having to pay the extra cost themselves _

. Anyway, it's all sorted now, thank god, going make sure we have a great time, Plus I'll be able to be the first to give a report on HT on the hotel

It's the : Sherton Real De Faula , it's just situated about 10 -15 mins drive from benidorm, very near to terrimittica .

Kev, I've just watched video - and your not wrong it does look posh, (Far too posh, up to what I'm use to - but I'm sure I'll get use to it )

Chivas - Its only B&B, - (Not too bothered about not being half board, just so grateful to be upgraded to this hotel!)as we have always gone half board, it's going to be a nice change to try some of the recommended restaurants!
