Hi there!
I'm one of the poor people who has had their holiday cancelled at Kos Aqua Beach Club by FC today
But thanks to the lovely Louise at FC I am now going to the Titanic Beach and Resort and really looking forward to it!
So would like to know anyone that has been there/going there. I go 19 May so not long now...
Mrsgaz I live the other end of Antalya but because I sell property in that region often pick up clients from Titanic and other hotels there and it does seem to be good. For me the one hotel that does it design wise is the concorde hotel which I think will stand the test of time for looks!! I should have my new office open near the Sera hotel when you come drop in for a cuppa.
After our disappointment of original holiday being cancelled hope we will have a good time. Will come for that cuppa once I have got my bearings!
We are looking at Titanis for 2 weeks in September, i would love to hear your review, especially re childrens facilities, we have a 2 year old, and the a la caret restaurants.
Thanks
Emma
Will most certainly do review when I get backand let you know.
Stayed at the Topkapi Palace Hotel Antalya last October. En-route back to the airport we passed the Titanic, which was breathtaking to look at. All the hotel lights were on in the darkness, and it appeared in the shape of a huge cruise liner, I remember we all commented on it at the time and said how we would love to look around it. Looking forward to your review.
my husband and i and three children are going to the titanic beach hotel july 2nd we were going to kefalonia aqua beach club but we had doubts it would be finished in time ,i had to pay to change but it looks worth it .we have never been to turkey before but it just looks so stunning we cant wait to go.
Did you have to pay much extra? Would have cost us around £500 more but FC covered the difference. We also looked into going the next week which would have been £950 more and they said that they would cover £650 of that and we would have to pay £300.
Not sure what situation you were in with Kefalonia, but with us we were going to Kos Aqua Beach Club on 20th, they cancelled so that had to rebook us and cover it. Is it worth you pushing them?
I will, of course, do a review and let you know what we thought of it...
Tracey (mrsgaz)
To all of you going this year, I look forward to hearing your reviews when you return.
Thanks
Nicola
There are some interesting reviews on Trip Advisor
In our case it was complete lack of choice at this short notice of cancellation and it was the only place that ticked the boxes. We did check the net before we confirmed to First Choice we would take.
Anyway I'mll post on here and hotel revies for anyone else on this Forum in the futue.
to change our holiday we had to pay £20 per person £100 total but the actual cost of the holiday was cheaper than it was to kefalonia aqua beach club we go a few days earlier but the flight times are better we only chose that hotel ourselves because it seems to have a lot to offer like kabc did.
i have read that not many english are there but im sure this year there wil be more as its advertised in a lot of brochures this year however im sure it wil be great .as your going before us youll have to keep us posted
baz and claire
Have just come back from a fantastic fortnight at the Titanic. Will do review later today as got in late last night, but you should not be disappointed!
To anyone going, I'm sure you will enjoy. Just remember this is first full season there for Brits so most of the staff and guests are not british. I personally really enjoyed hearing the Russian, Dutch, German, Turkish. The kids made british and dutch friends, and loved the entertainments staff.
Once I get organised I'll upload some piccies. If anyone has any questions then let me know.
But take Euros as all on site priced in Euros and you lose a bit if convert to Lira (and if paying by credit card they automatically convert to Lira)
Hi
Just so you know - 'boccia' is boules/petanque to you and I.
Sure you will have a good time. We were Kos ABC casualties too but feel that we got a better holiday (we were meant to be there just a few days after the infamous Holiday Hit Squad, but had been cancelled on 31 March).
Great hotel, quick transfer, nice food, proper size glasses for the drinks (plastic by the pool and in the ampitheatre but glass if sitting at the bar).
Enjoy it!
(Soory if you knew about it, just don't want the start of the holiday to be pants)
But I am really looking forward to it now, hotel does look great - are the bedrooms spacious? We have stadard interconnecting rooms
Not sure if the interconnecting are in the main hotel, or the 'family units'. In the main hotel the rooms are a good size with plenty of space. I did not go into the family units but my son did frequently as his friend was staying in those, and he reckoned that the size was okay. They are not on the Titanic Website but when you get there they are the units near to the 'baby' pool and the Santa Maria Kids Club Ship. I believe that in that case they are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. They look roomy from the outside. If the standard rooms are what you get then they are a good size.
I have to confess that by the fate of someone (must have been after the stress of being cancelled for Kos ABC) we got a free upgrade to the VIP pool villas, along with another British family as we had both booked interconnecting rooms and there were none available - so we were in heaven!
When do you go? I can always post you a copy of our DVD - just the bits that show the hotel, I won't subject you to me on the aquapark!!! or the CD Rom that you can buy on site of the place. I would upload some of the CD Rom pictures onto the photo gallery but do not want to fall fowl of copyright issues. If you want me to send anything just PM me - I can always send pics by E-mail if you want.
You''ll find the minibar in the room stocked with water, beer, coke, fanta, and cherry juice every day which is great and there are mini toiletries there if your shower gel has leaked in the suitcase like ours did!
There's an on-site photographer who snaps all day long and the pictures are 5 Euros each and a good size.
I hope that you feel when you get there that you have made the right choice. We were really concerned as we so wanted to go to Kos ABC but we really did love our holiday here. Hope you do too.
I am looking for both package and accommodation only sites.
We are hoping to book this for Oct. 2007
Also if you could give me a rough idea of what it might cost per adult , mid, low or high season that would be really helpful.
Thanks
