i'll leave all these things to you girls.

i will just enjoy the results of your labours ;)

Has to be waxing, but you can't shave in between you need to stick with waxing,2 paracetamol 30 mins before hand and you won't feel a thing lol

So what about the fellas do they wax? i,e, Back Sack and Crack?
:rofl The only male waxing I've seen on holiday has been done as part of the hotel entertainment - usually after much alcohol!

try an epilator.it starts off feeling painful but your bodies natural pain killers kick in and you get used to it.Not only that but it takes about 6 weeks for hair to grow and it doesn't all grow back in.

Treated myself to the new wet and dry epilator (not sure if treated is the right word but there you go), brilliant works a treat. Not painful on my legs as have waxed for years but initially painful under the arms, bikini line was so so. It was on special in Boots so very pleased. As an aside does anyone know if you can carry epilators in your hand luggage or do they have to go in the hold (personally cannot see that they are a dangerous item but you never know, men especially would not appreciate one being held close to them), will probably not need it whilst away but being of 'that age' I sometimes start sprouting in various places.

May look at those epilators Nels.
I went for a 'waxing' yesterday - just Bikini line and its was fine, made the mistake of shaving my legs and underarms last week so the hair wasn't long enough. :cry

Nels - can you give me an idea of price please. I have only ever had my legs waxed once - & I looked as though I had measles for around 3 days.

Hi Helen,

It is advertised as £99, but Boots had it on offer for £66.99, be careful though they had several types placed together and I had to check that I had picked up the correct one, it has to be the wet and dry one, think its made by Braun, it gets rid of even very short hairs, have also been using St Ives exfoliator which stops any ingrowing hairs, sorry cannot check at the moment as daughter has crashed in my bed and room is out of bounds until later. Anyone know if it is ok to pack an epilator in hand luggage? Nels

It should be OK to pack an epilator in your hand luggage, but why would you want to? It's not something you are going to need on the flight.

Ive thought about waxing but I'm too much of a wus - although if anyone see's the lenghth of my hairs on me legs I always say that Im saving up for a wax haha.

After reading on here last night I thought an epilator was the way to go so off I went to Argos - got one that was almost half price bargain - I thought - till I tried it OUCH!!! Still a wus!!!
Tried it again this morning after a shower n it still killed!!!
My 12 year old had a go and couldnt understand the fuss I had been making - but I couldnt stand it!!!
It stated on the box "love it or your money back" GREAT!!!

I swapped it for a Babyliss wet n dry shaver = HEAVEN!!!!
My legs are soooooo smooth.

Yeah I may have to keep up to it on holiday a tad but I figure it will give me something to do whilst waiting for my turn in the shower - instead of topping up my glass with the vino like I usually do!!!

Each to thier own - but I'm more than happy with my choice.

2 week on Tuesday till 2 weeks in Portugal - cant wait!!!!

Thanks luci, its just me being neurotic, last August I arrived but my luggage did not...... well eventually it did, there I was in 90 degrees with only trainers to wear, I had got too complacent as no probs for years, this year I will have a complete change of clothes with anything else I can stuff in my hand luggage, never again.

To all you waxers, shavers, etc. Am I the only lucky female in the world? I have never had to do anything to my legs! They are smooth and shiny and I have never seen even one hair on them. All my friends are forever telling me how lucky I am and after reading an article in the Daily Mail today I have to agree.

I am thinking of having my legs and bikini line waxed properly (I.e by someone else, not me with a Veet strip!!) before my holiday. How long roughly do the hairs have to be? Ive just shaved and would need to get them done a week sat (3rd Oct) so would be nearly 2 weeks growth.

No you're not! I've never had to shave my legs or anywhere else for that matter - decided it's all in the genes! My mother is half Chinese and also relatively hairless too. Great for me but when my brother was a teenager and all his mates were sprouting hair all over the place whilst he had nary a single whisker on his chest he was less than happy about it. Mind you, he never has any qualms about agreeing to having his chest and back waxed for charity now :D

Hi sma. I thought I was the only lucky one. Don't know about the genes, mine are Scottish through and through. At least that is one pre holiday job we don't have to worry about, we are so lucky.
