Wow, what a difference, the Reps from Gulf Horizon in Jordan were terrific, they were on call 24hrs, and could be reached, & truly cared about their clients.
Any changes or problems, no matter how small, would be dealt with there and then.
We were put up in a hotel called the Petra Palace, and although parts were still under construction, the rooms were bright and clean. The air-conditioner, TV, phone etc all worked and the staff were very helpful (unlike Egypt, you don't tip anyone at the time, but leave your gratuity in an envelope at the end of your stay)
The Hotel was a stone throw from the Petra site, very easy to walk to.
I have a mobility problem but found that the Reps from Gulf Horizon in Jordan sensitive to my condition, wherever possible, for the rougher terrain donkey- rides, camel or buggy which ever the most practical were organised, in fact everything was done to make the trip round the Petra site memorable. Our Reps where happy to suggest places to eat that are very reasonably priced, they would sit with you if you wish, and help you to order your meal.
We also found that they were happy to tell you about places of interest that may not be on you itinerary, if the time permits and you were interested they would detour and take you. The sense of a ‘personal' service tailored to you springs to mind, to describing them. We were so impressed that we hope to go back and visits the places time did not afford us and also take in the Holy Land.
Has anyone else has any experience of this company and if so how did they find them?
