Hi can anyone please give some advice on the best way to book the cheapest and easiest route from London to Marseille. We are going to Provence on the 1st week of June and thought it would be nice to go by train rather than fly. there will be two children traveling 6 and 3 will they be able to travel on reduced fares.
Many thanks in advance
Try the Eurostar website. They will show connections to all places in France
Hi our family took the TGV from Paris Charles du galle airport to Avignon last August with our two children aged 8 and 9. We loved the fast train it was great way to see france and quite resonably priced we booked through
many thanks for your replies, when you booked online did it give the option to add children as passengers. I tried going onto it today and it would only allow me to add adult passengers. How far in advance did you book the tickets and did you manage to get the best prices?
Hope that makes sense
Thanks Lizzie. I also came across a french based website, which seems to be cheaper than the rail europe or SNCF sites: I can not add the link as I have not posted enough posts, but do a search for voyages-sncf. May be useful if plan to go again by train. I'll try later this month to make the booking.
