we drove from Midi Pyrenees last August but got near to Calais and stayed in a formulae motel overnight was very impressed with the tunnell we arrived early and put on an earlier train 20 mins from arrriving to loading, we had a packed lunch with us and by the time we had eaten we were back in England will definitely use again I thought it would be claustrophibic but actually i think it is much better than any ferry go for it if you time it right you should be ok try Via michelin for journey times Bonne chance !
Faster, smoother and less hassle than ferries so worth that bit more than the short channel crossing
We went last year from the tunnel to Montpelier in one day without going at stupid o clock as we would have had to have done on the ferry
Try using Formule1 for stop over nights if you need to
try going
Rouen
Le Mans
Nantes
giving Paris a BIG miss
