Hi,
We are staying in Sun Village Resort in Arpora for 2 weeks from 19th November.
I am just trying to find out if travelling from North Goa to South Goa for a day/over-night trip is possible by taxi - and whether anyone can give me some estimates on how long it will take, and how much a taxi would cost?
I understand Palolem beach is a nice place to spend a night - am I likely to need to book a shack in advance, or should I be able to find somewhere just by turning up? Also, what is the likely cost for one-night in a beach shack?
Finally... Does anyone know if Sun Village still has a taxi rank outside of it's gates? And will I be able to find a taxi in Palolem that will take me back to Arpora for a similar price as the Sun Village taxi's?

hi ron theres taxis everywhere you look You will think that your first name is taxi by the time your first day is over 
price will cost around the 1000rp mark for one way but have you thought of catching a bus it will take a few hrs more but the best part is the panjim margoa bus which is non stop and for the whole journey it will cost around 40rps each youll also see how nice the goan people are anyway
with the money you save on taxis it will pay for your over night accomodation

Hi Mate
I know lots of taxi drivers who are reliable and wont cheat you if you need one of them let me know when you get over you have my number, if you stay in the shacks down there it will cost you between Rs 500 and Rs 3000 deending what you want of course.
Taxi takes about an hour and a half and as sharon said about Rs 1000
You will enjoy it down there you will want to do two nights when you get settled
