Help! Please....
Placed a holiday booking with Travel Republic over the phone.
Read out the names twice with the operator confirming the names back.
Couldn't believe it when the email confirmation came through with an error on one of the names. Got back to them within an hour and got no response. Then received an email confirming my request for name change and a charge of £70 to action this. Called their customer service who say there's nothing they can do ..... when you ask to speak with a manager they tell you there is no one available at that time.
Have tried to get through to them with the same response.....not happy to pay extra when I've not done anything wrong.
They keep reminding us that we've got to pay for the amendment as we'll be travelling out soon. Can organisations like ABTA help? They say they record all phone bookings but are unable to check this one at this stage....Help!
I'm sure TR are good when things go right. But you're doomed if they dont.
It's not something they can deal with in terms of process. They've only perfected the art of grabbing your money.
