there is an old orginal one in fethiye old town the turkish haman is full of history you would be treated by men in the acutual bath and there is a full oil massage after wards which is avalible at extra cost
the turkish bath is a great way to not only get rid of the dead skin and keep your tan, but also a great way of relaxing and feeling fresh for a great evening weather it be olu, hisaronu or fethiye
you should put this on your must do list
Merhaba (hello)Squirellchops . I agree with previous post re Fethiye Hamam ,it is very invigourating and its only a 30 min bus ride from your resort and is far superior to , and a good deal cheaper , than the Hotel based ones as it is where the locals go . Please do it in the first 2/3 days of your hol as , if you leave it till later , it removes a few layers of skin in the exfoliating process and tou may loose your lovely tan . I have only seen male attendants on my visits but the girls wore bikinis and seemed to enjoy the treatment . Please give it a try . any one will direct you as the Hamam is , as previously stated , in the old part of town ,about 10 minutes walk from the dolmus (bus ) station . We are going first 3 weeks in June to Hisaronu ( just up the hill from Olu ) regards wee-john
I am on countdown for my second visit to the Aegean Dream and thought I would try the Turkish Baths this year in the hotel. I have noticed that Children are allowed to have the bath - can anyone tell me what this involves as he doesn't seem to keen at the moment - he is 11 !!
Will he be on his own or are you in a group ? Also any ideas how long it takes ?
Thanks
Collette
Only 45 more sleeps to go !!!
sorry tried to post a link from utube showing turkish bath but it wont show
i suffer from eczema but the sun always clears it up no probs, but i need to watch what i put on my skin as alot of scrubs/lotions are iratatent.
plus do they do your feet i have a thing about feet ( no not that one) i hate anybody and i mean anybody touching my feet.
a minibus ride is included to get you there and you are escorted to the club anastasia where they have a hamman (turkish bath)
it is ace - a lovely relaxing time in the steam rooms prior to being washed, whacked and almost waxed .
know it sounds painful but it wasnt. it was soooo relaxing and for a little extra you can have a face mud pack which was also good.
whole experiance was brilliant - only draw back when you emerge out into scorching daytime heat and start sweating again you go back to square one within a few hours. - could with being daily if your wallet allowd.
also went for a proper turkish shave at a barbers near the small mcdonalds. - now that was an experience - a relaxing really close (cut throat razor) shave prior to nasal and ear hairs being scorch off with parafin flames ( was safe really).
even the aftershave they used didn't sting like ours does as its made differently. didnt need to shave for at least 2 days afterwards and im a twice a day shaver sometimes. well worth it and it only costs pence.
So far as your skin goes, I'm pretty sure that the soap they use will be an olive oil soap, I certainly don't recall it smelling of anything much. You can check with them beforehand to make sure (whoever you book with I am sure will be happy to find out for you even if they don't already know - then you can decide if it's worth going for or not).
We are staying at the Club Anastasia - how much is the Turkish Bath there? I cant wait yipeee!!!
We stayed at Club Anastasia when it had not long opened. Used their Turkish Bath and weren't impressed back then.
if you looking for a good turkish bath in icmeler pm i can arrange for you and give you my contact number. good price, male and female workers. all types of massage and facial treatments available.
Had a few turkish baths, always taken to different places, been to Anastasia and it was nice.Last year we went to Hotel Cosmopolitan, best one yet, lovely inside, paid £8 and that also inc oil massage, really took their time with us.I love that glass of freshly squeezed orange juice while relaxing, wrapped up on the lounger.
Hi we are going to Icmeler July 21st and are thinking about going for a T Bath . We didnt try one last time we went to Icmeler.I wasnt sure if i would like it, but after reading a few posts on here I would like to give it a go this time. Is there anywhere in Icmeler?? We are at the Palm Gardens this year. Also I have a 10 and 12 year old. Im pretty sure they wouldnt want to go but can they hang around? and how long does it all take. I would like to go with hubby as Im not brave enough on my own.
We went to the Golmar last year for Turkish bath it was very good. They have a swimming pool with slides for the kids outside if you can leave them. It would take about an hour if you have a massage after bath. Very relaxing.

Hi, can anyone recommend a good turkish bath and massage in or around Kalkan? I read somewhere that it's best to get one at the beginning of the holiday as it prolongs the tan, so would like to go on 1st or 2nd day.
Thank you Lynn, will check out how far the Golmar is from our apartment. if theres a pool, great the kids are ok to be left
Golmar is at the far end of the beach to the right if you are facing the sea
if that helps
Lynn
i think its only men that work the true hamans not sure about the hotel based ones but anything the locals use is much better there is a great one on the cut through on the way to dalaman and also a good one at dalyan
We have just booked to go to Kalkan in June, and have read that it is advisable to pre book your turkish bath before leaving UK. Does anyone have a contact address of how we can do this, and where the best place to go is?
Many thanks
Jane
