Looking for advice on best/cheapest flight options (diy) travelling to HK for a few nights and on to Thai (possibly Krabi) for 10-12 nights.
Tried Thai air but prices extortionate for options available.
March 2008
Many thanks in advance

Dragonair fly from Hong Kong to Bangkok and Phuket...easy taxi transfer from Phuket to Krabi. Might be worth a look.
we are going with Emirates from HK to BKK- £118.
If you can get over to Newcastle, Emirates are doing Newcastle, Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok return for £440.
Have just booked ours for Feb 08.
Good Luck
I have been to Thailand and Hongkong several times,i think the best option would be to fly with the new budget airline oasis ,from gatwick to hongkong, then fly from macau with air asia to Bangkok. From bangkok you can fly to Krabi.
It is really easy to get from hongkong to macau. This would be the cheapest way to go.
My daughter and i are flying with oasis to Hongkong in sept, only cost £520 return for us both.
Airasia are very good ,have flown with them lots of times, with no problems.
There are no budget airlines that fly from Hongkong to Bangkok as far as i know,as we wanted to do this trip before, and we ended up going to singapore instead of hongkong,as this was alot cheaper, but this was a couple of years ago.
Anyway,Hongkong is brilliant,as is Krabi,so have a great time where ever you go

One Two Go do - http://www.fly12go.com/en/flight_fare/flight_schedule_inter.shtml
They fly all-economy 747's from Hong Kong to Bangkok - that's a huge amount of people (500ish?) trouble is - you can't book international routes online (they also fly Phuket - Hong Kong) - but if you read their site you might work out how to do it.
If you don't utilise this, I would also defintely recommend Emirates as well - at £440 inc from 6 UK airports - for a top quality airline, a stop in Bangkok en-route to Bangkok, anything else feels like a false economy.
I am considering the Emirates option (HK - BKK) which is currently £80 p.p. one way.
Will look at the 12go option as well though.
our £118 was return. But others were def a lot more expensive.
We only need a one way flight from Hong Kong.
(UK > Hong Kong > Bangkok > Krabi > Bangkok > UK)
Have hotels chosen for HK and BKK but cant decide for Krabi.
Anyone familiar with "Vogue resort" in Ao Nang ? Looks like there or Thai Village
