Hi I recently went on tour by car round the UK from the east coast up to Scotland down the West coast to South Wales and onto the South Coast from Cornwall to Kent then up the East Coast back home a total of 2000 miles. I arranged to stop at a Premier Inn every night for 8 nights coming to a total price of £527 with breakfasts. The price I did not object to because at the time I decided to go on this kind of holiday the Premier Inn Organistion was offering a one night free stay in a premier Inn in if I stopped 3 nights in a Premier Hotel. What a fool I was for to think that Premier Inns was giving something for nothing, No Way, I made the mistake of failing to read the small print were it says in small writing that staying in a Premier Inn on the promotion they are running i.e. Stay at a Premier Inn for £29. If I stayed in a Premier Inn on the discounted price then I did not qualify for the free night.
So the moral of this holiday is Read the small print and remember nobody gives anything for nothing. Like I said I paid a total of £527 for 8 days and for me to qualify I would have had to pay well in access of £1000. The biggest con running at the moment with big coverage even advertised on TV as well as the national newspapers. So you have been warned if you are doing the same as me or thinking of doing it, you have till the 28th July 2011. DONT!!!! Happy holidays everybody......Brian 61 uk

But what I really want to know is with an intinarary like that just how much of the UK did you actually see as oppose to drive through in only 9 days? That's an average of 200+ miles per day which up here in Scotland, and especially once you were north of Aberdeen until you got back to the Glasgow area, would have been on non-dual carriageway roads. It must have been exhausting doing all that driving!
