Unfair visa rules

Next time you are struggling with your visa application for a two week holiday, think of this.
Also, if they are paying the Indian Government recommended fee on arrival, its £26.
So far, over 4700 Russians have benefited from this, more than 25% of total numbers!
Clearly this is a bias to Russians, or maybe they don't have a postal service due to the cold weather andcant make their applications that way, like we have to?

As has been pointed out on this forum before, there's a strong whiff of tit for tat in all this visa cost business. You'll find that the cost of a visa for Indian nationals visiting the UK is considerabley more than the cost of our visa to India, and they are given a lot mere hurdles to jump before they get the visa. I've no idea the visa requirments put on Indians visiting Russia, but I'd be very surprised if they are anything like the severity of the UK requirements. Hence the more lenient treatment of the Russian tourists. Alan
