United are a full fare schedule airline rather than a low cost. Luggage is included in the price (23kg) although they're in the process of introducing charges from some destinations and second bags. Details are on Uniteds website. There are no charges between Europe and USA for the first bag. It's always worth having a copy of booking confirmation with you just in case you need to refer to it.
