hi again,
just tried that link for penn and teller,
the discount code PTZOO is invalid, do you know of anymore i could try,
also do you have any ideas of reasonably priced places to eat and drink,
steak, fish, tex mex, chinese, thai, real burgers, pizza etc.
also i know these are in the wrong thread but in your opinion is car hire in vegas worth it,
i can get a car for £104 for the week, or do you know any cheaper
does the vdara have car parking facilities,
and do we have to pay to park at the hotel, we are paying a resort fee at the hotel for wi-fi gym newspaper etc.
as we will probably only use it a couple of times for sightseeing and to and from the airport,
but saying that just a trip to the canyon would pay for itself against a tour price,
cheers dag.
ps. only two weeks two days to go
I have split your post from the Shows topics as it was going off topic.
I can't understand why the PTZOO code doesn't work as it was posted less than a week ago. All I can suggest is that you call the Rio box office and ask if they will give you the offer over the phone.
How much do you regard are "reasonable"? Breakfast buffets run around $15, some more, some less. You can get a $5 off coupon for the Spice Market at http://www.destinationcoupons.com Dinner buffets $20-30, again some more and some less.
You can get a cheap breakfast at La Salsa Cantina for $3.95 Ellis Island, behind Bally's, has a sirloin steak special for $6.95 which includes a beer. Not the best steak you will ever have, but not bad. It's not on the menu, but they will know when you ask for it. They are also cheap for breakfast.
The Bellagio buffet is very good for breakfast and no more expensive than other buffets at $15 or $16.
We like Planet Dailies inside Planet Hollywood. Some say it is expensive for a coffee shop, but we don't think so.
PF Chang's inside Planet Hollywood is a very good Chinese, but you need to book.
Stripburger do very good burgers. You can buy a discount certificate at http://www.restaurant.com but need to be quick on the 1st of the month as they sell out within hours. The current code for r.com is STEAK for 70% off the cost of the certificate. For example, a $10 certificate on a $25 spend would cost $3 with the code. Pay by Paypal to get round not having a US address.
The sound cheap enough to me for the car hire if it includes all insurances and taxes. Most people recommened http://www.ch3000.com or http://www.netflights.com and pay everything before you go.
Yes the Vdara will have self park or valet parking, both free. If you go for valet, just tip a couple of dollars when you pick up the car.

i did'nt want to be paying vdara prices thats all at $22 for an american breakfast
good job i am hitting the gym and on a diet at the mo
we have had the breakfast buffets before
so i will be hitting the gym even harder when i get back home lol
cheers dag
la salsa cantina looks good fun and the food looks great
i did try registering with restaurant.com no joy
i know you say use paypal but don't i still have to register
i will be ready on september 1st what time do they put the offers up "uk time"
and will the code still be the same steak, if i can't register i will try booking them over the phone
defo going to try stripburger and the spice market
cheers dag.
I think the Stripburger certs will be available from either 6am or 8am UK time. The $25 certs go really fast. There isn't usually a restaurant.com code available on the 1st. However if you Google restaurant.com code before you buy you might find something. The code changes every few days. The $25 should cost you $10 at most and you can use it towards a minimum spend of $35. However that includes drinks and not all restaurants let you use it for drinks.
Have a browse of r.com using 89109 and 89119 and choose either 1 mile or 5 miles to see what is available. Make sure you read the T&C's of each cert carefully.
There should be an 80% off code out soon, but the later in the month, the less certs there are available.
Rosemary's is off site about 30 mins and is high recommended so may be worth trying seeing as you will have a car.
We always go to Casa di Amore which is an Italian off strip. They have a free limo pick up service if you book far enough in advance and the food is good.
luci
that worked
i will be online at 6 am on the 1st
luckily thats my day off
when you say they go quickly how quick do you mean
i suppose a lot of locals go for them as well
cheers dag
1st August was a Sunday and the $25 certs were finished about 2pm UK time. I got mine about 9.30am. As they go on sale when most people in the US are in bed, you have a better chance being in the UK.

PF Chang's inside Planet Hollywood is a very good Chinese, but you need to book.
P F Chang's China Bistro is excellent! We love it.... The PH branch is always busy; pre book if you can - the phones wil be on from first thing in the morning. If you have a car you can always go to their Branch in Green Valley; not quite as busy, and much quieter after 8.30.
if you're not counting the cents, try the Asian Fusion grill at Mandalay Bay, and go for the 'chef's taster' option. You get slightly smaller portions, but you do get at least one of EVERYTHING so the plates of food just keep coming!
that sounds like a greek meze, will defo give that a go
decided against hiring a car now there is just so much to do in vegas without a car
only 11 days now
cheers dag
We have used the CAT buses to get off strip to places like JC Penney and Best Buy.
There are also shuttles from Bill's to the Gold Coast and Orleans and from Harrah's to Rio.
luci
just used restaurant.com for the first time
what a bargain
just got two $25 certificates for $2 each
one is for pampas churrascaria
the other is alexis cafe at alexis park
they both look good has anybody tried them
the code for today is clearance if anybody wants any vouchers
cheers dag. early start tomorrow to hopefully get my stripburger certs.
night night all
Remember to Google for a code first. There isn't usually an official one available that early in the month, but if you link through CouponCabin you should get 50% off.
luci
todays code for restaurant.com
is menu it's for a 60% voucher
got my stripburger cert
will need an extra suitcase for all my vouchers alone
roll on tuesday when i can get to use them
cheers dag.
we are going to have a look at
sampas and alexis
they look good on the web
but at the end of the day the certs only cost $2 each
so if we don't like what we see at them i will only have lost pennies
cheers dag.
It's an Italian. The food is good and they have a lounge singer. It's a nice evening away from the strip.
Rosemary's is highly recommended, but as it's off strip you either need a car or it's $25 each way in a taxi.
luci
yes i like the look of rosemarys
i also noticed them on restaurant.com
looked at the website, menu and reviews
and all looked hunky dory
just a quickie though roughly how much should i expect to pay there for dinner with wine for 2
it may still work out easier hiring a car
i don't really want to spend $50 on a return taxi
cheers dag.
ps you was right about stripburger
just had a look and they have all gone
glad i got in early
I haven't been to Rosemary's, but I have seen it recommended numerous times, especially for lunch.
how far from the vdara do you reckon it is
we do a lot of walking on our holidays
and it may be worth a walk off the strip
or is there a bus we could catch
there lunch menu looks yummy
cheers dag.
Hopefully pebbles will see this thread and answer re the buses as she goes out to Vegas for up to 8 weeks at a time. If not, I shall alert her to this.
