Excellent read TeeCee. We wondered about the gunstore, but like Linda I very much dislike guns, although Kevin was curious. It's something we probably couldn't do anywhere else, but also I felt I didn't really feel the need. Sounds like you enjoyed it though, and sounded like they had some fancy foreign guns (which I guess is part of the attraction).
Glad you did well at TJ Maxx. I quite liked it too. We just have Fashion Show Mall to do now, so won't be buying much else I doubt. We only have one piece of luggage each, so we have to pay $50 for our holdall I'm afraid, but I suppose it's worth it for the bargains. We have expanding cases, but if we expanded them I think they'd go over the 23kg (will Kevin's did last time because he flung lots of books and comics in it!).
Hope you continue to enjoy. Not sure how many days you have left...we're heading off on Saturday I'm afraid. Better get down to the pool now before it gets red hot again!
TC
What did you think of the Voodoo Lounge overall? We Are thinking of going on Sunday for the 80's night
Cheers
TC
It was nice at Voodoo for the view, but drinks are quite pricey. There's also not really any outside seating unless you pay for bottle service in which case you get the seats all round the outer edge with the view. There are bits where you can stand, particularly downstairs too. I am sure you can pre-pay a drinks package for abour $60 it might be worth considering if you're going to spend the evening there. Personally I was happy just to have one drink there, but everyone's different. I think maybe I just don't like all the loud music etc. (too old lol!).
I quite enjoyed the drink we had last night at Margaritaville, upstairs and overlooking the strip.
I was teasing my husband a bit about going to Matt Goss. I did like Bros back in the day which I stupidly admitted in work one day that I had Grolsch bottle tops on my docs back in the day. Anyway, I got my picture with him at Caesars. Or no, was it just a cardboard cut-out....
Hope you enjoy!
After most of the day at the pool, ( wasn't so hot today we thought). We went up and chilled out for a bit before getting ready to go out.
We drove down to Bills and parked up, walked down to the tkts 4 tonite place in Bills but they didn't have anything for Human Nature so we decided to walk down to the Imperial PAlace to try to get tkts directly, it was 7pm at this stage and the show started at 7:30. Went to the IP box office. They had seats left right atnthe very back of the theatre, the girl said they were 'really good seats'.........yeah right! She then offered a 15% discount from $80, but I thought that sounded expensive still, I'm sure I've seen them cheaper? So we left it. We wanted to get some shopping in the 'Teno' shop in the Miracle Mile in Pnet Hollywood so drove back there and parked up. 'Teno' jewelry is lovely, very modern, made out of materials such as Titanium, Steel, Leather and Rubber. It's quite expensive but the quality is excellent and it looks great. We spent a small fortune on several items each! :D. Decided to eat I. PF Changs in Planet Hollywood. Had to put our names down and wait about 45 mins. I had pork dumplings to start then had Chicken in black bean sauce and rice and Linda had sweet and sour chicken in rice, we also ordered Singapore noodles as we love a bit of spice! Service was very very poor and food matched it. Absolutely awful. Large portions but really poor. Mine was actually chicken in a light brown gravy with a couple of black beans thrown in, no taste and nowhere near authentic. Linda's was just as bland. The noodles were really really salty, not what proper Singapore noodles should be at all. We left half of it and got the bill. For the first time I left. Tip of about 2% only, an awful awful place and we will never eat there again. Bill came to around $50 but we only had water to drink.
We needed to drop the car off at sometime as it was due back at 9am on Friday and we like to do it the night before usually to save the hassle in the morning so I drove back to MGM and dropped it
off on the 5th floor in the Dollar spaces. Went downstairs to find they do not allow a key drop any
more, you have to 'hand' the keys to an employee!
Went over to Excal for a gamble, held my own on a Let it Ride table for a bit but lost eventually.
Linda had a good run on the slots and only spent about $60 all night so that was very successful!
Lesley, hope youmhave a great last day or so and have a really good trip home. Luci, hope you arrive safely and on time and have a fantastic holiday!
We're off to Le Reve tonight and will try to eat at Maggiano's again I think
Cheers
TC
We ate at Maggiano's again too - but from the bar menu about 5pm after a wander through the mall again. Again good food and good service, we had 2 bruschettas, one zucchini Fritte, 1 gnocchi alla Vodka, 2 glasses wine, 2 peronis and 2 martinis $46 plus tip. We did overhear the waitress telling someone they were possibly stopping the happy hour though. I have really enjoyed their happy hour, and it's only in the bar anyway. Maybe they think it detracts from their full price custom (we were prepared to eat outside last night but they were closing the area, so it was really their fault.
Luci is in town, we met her briefly at Bill's this evening. I'm sure she'll have a fab trip. TeeCee- savour your last few days, although I'm sure you'll be back in Vegas next year! And safe journey home.
101F when we landed at 6.15pm and felt like we were walking in an oven.
Had a lovely meet with Lesley. Just wish it wasn't so noisy and that we could have stayed longer, but we were shattered.
TC, T4T don't sell Human Nature tickets. However you can get them from VegasTix4Less at O'Shea's and down by the Coke bottle. They actually give you seat numbers rather than a voucher. Hope you manage to get some.
Have a safe journey home Lesley.

Walked back over to Wynn as we had tickets for Le Reve.at 21:30. Had a little gamble and I won around $40 on a couple of 1c slots. The show itself is excellent. Very much like a Cirque show, and along the lines of 'O' as it's based totally around water. We both really enjoyed it and agreed it's the best show of the holiday so far ( we have Viva Elvis tonight). The Wynn theatre is great because it's a small circle so you have a great view from anywhere.
I also booked Human Nature tickets online yesterday in the end. Couldn't seem to get a deal anywhere so booked direct with IP and went for VIP tickets near the front for just over $70 each, so the girl in the box office a couple of nights ago DID try to rip us off!
After Le Reve we walked back to centre strip and ended up gambling in O'Shea's, it's a horrible dump but has low table limits! I played Let it Ride bonus again and had the same appalling luck, it's just not happening this holiday. A guy on my table did have amazing luck though. He hit a full house to win just over $300 in one hand then about 30 mins later hit a 5 card straight flush, first time I've ever seen it. he won just over $4000 in one hand..........me.......jealous?
Back by the pool this morning. Took the Ipad with me to update this report. It is VERY hot again today, just put the brolly up to get some shade.
Cheers
TC
Looking forward to hearing what you think of Viva Elvis. It gets very mixed reviews, but the fact that some say it's not very Cirque is a plus for me as Cirque does nothing for me.
Hope you have some better luck before you go home. It would be good to end on a winning streak.

Spent the day by the pool, very hot again! Stayed there until about 4:45.
Back to room to chill a bit, then showered and changed, ready for Viva Elvis at Aria. Show started at 9:30pm so we took a leisurely walk down to City Centre at 7pm. After a hot day it was a very warm evening, somewhere in the high 80's I would think.
Didn't take long to get to City Centre, first time there for us. Very impressive. Aria is lovely, interior is very modern (obviously) but very very nice. We picked the tickets up from the box office then went back down for a gamble as we had an hour before the doors opened. Had a bit of luck on the Max Win Royal Unicorn slots, after an hour I was about $65 up. I noticed that most of the table games were $25 minimum bet.........expensive! Went up to the theatre at about 9:10 pm, bit of a queue to get in. Theatre is quite big, classic theatre layout, two tiered. We were about two thirds of the way back on the lower tier, right hand side. Our tickets cost about $90 each with tax etc.
The show is a bit strange. I deliberately didn't read any reviews beforehand. It's ok, not great, not awful. Not worth $90 in my opinion though. It has an 'identity crisis' in that it doesn't seem to know if it's a 'Dance' show, a song and dance show, or a Cirque show? The problem is, it isn't convincing as any of them! The best bit is the trampolenes, won't say any more than that. Overall, pretty disappointing, nowhere near as good as Le Reve.
After the show we gambled some more in Aria. Left around 01:00am, around $100 up for the evening, not bad! Needed something to eat so walked along to Monte Carlo any got a meatball marinara from Subway.....Yum! Had a gamble on slots in Monte. Arlo, won another $60 bucks on the 'Zeus' super spin slot, love that machine. Walked back to MGM. Decided to test my luck by going on a table game, 3 card poker, $10 minimum, so it was $20 a hand with the bonus bet. My cash lasted about 8 mins! Guess my luck hasn't changed that much! Walking back to room, spotted a 'Zeus' super spin machine, decided to stick a final $20 in. 10 mi a later I cashed out $132 so got my 3 card money back, woohoo! Ended up $75 on the night after a lot of gambling so pretty good. Also, all the casino's are MGM, so it all went on the players card.
Down by the pool again today. Very hot again. Have Human Nature tkts for tonight, think we'll have a steak at Gallaghers in NYNY afterwards
Cheers
TC
How long is Viva Elvis? Your review pretty much matches what I have read. Will see for ourselves on Wednesday. We got upgraded to the first row after the VIP section FOC, $195 seats for $50.
Went to see a new show at the Hilton that just opened a couple of days ago, Nunsense. It was quite good. Do you remember Clint Holmes who starred in his own show in Vegas until a couple of years ago? He was just in front of us at the show.
BTW, the trip report has been started if you are interested.
luci
Viva Elvis was about 90 mins I think.
Certainly has felt very hot at night recently,it's only after 1am that it gets comfortable.
Human Nature was excellent last night, we really enjoyed it. Afterwards we went to Gallaghers for dinner and I had the filet mignon, Linda had the queen cut of prime rib - was still huge! We had mash and broccoli au gratin with it, was absolutely delicious. We then shared the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was the best chocolate based dessert we've ever had in the States, it was like a flat chocolate fondant, really rich and yummy. With two glasses of wine and a beer the bill came to $140 so not cheap but fantastic quality. We gambled in NYNY for a bit but soon got fed up with it, we really don't like NYNY apart from Gallaghers so moved on to Excalibur. Linda played slots and I played Pai Gow poker on one of the tables. Won $100 in an hour or so....... Then lost it in about 15 mind on a Let it Ride bonus table!!
MONDAY:
Last day today, another fantastic two weeks in Vegas almost over We hope to move house next year so had said we would not be having a holiday but we're now planning to try to save what we can for another trip next year, we can't do without our Vegas fix!
Hot again today, the pool area here at Signature is packed today! Worse than the weekend, I would say 60%+ are English!
No plans yet for our last night. Will play it by ear I think. The gambling budget has just about held up so may have a bit of a blowout tonight!
Cheers
TC
Safe journey home teecee and many thanks for 'taking us' on holiday with you
Sounds like you had a great time. Funny how your plan to leave it next year has changed already We moved house and did Vegas this year. It was very stressful this year for us with the move, so we felt we needed the holiday. It took us about 2 days in Vegas to wind down and forget about the house. Of course now we're back and trying to get on with the work again, it's a bit of a drag, but we need to get it all done. Hope you manage to do both too!
Safe journey home.
Last night in Vegas, we ate in the 'Grand Wok' in MGM. Food wasn't bad, had crispy pork wontons and edamame beans to start followed by chicken laksa curry and Singapore chicken noodles. With a drink and tip, the bill came to around $65. Had a gamble in MGM on the slots, Zeus, Wolf Run and Wheel of Fortune, had a couple of small wins but lost $60 in 30 mins. Then walked over to Monte Carlo and played table games for a while. Spent about an hour or so playing Pai Gow poker, broke even at the end. Went onto Let it Ride but lost everything in about 30 mins, no luck at all on that game this year! :(. Decided to go for it on some $1 slots but got nothing at all.
Called it a night around 1am in Monte Carlo and went to Excalibur. Same result in there, a few small wins but lost overall. Took a few photos of the strip and walked back to MGM. Had one last gamble on Roulette, got $90 up in 10 mins blew it all in the next 10 Back to room by 3am. Had a well needed lie in. Got up at 10am (had packed the night before). Dropped cases off with bellboys and walked to players club. Asked for comped buffet and got it so had lunch buffet - desserts were the best.
Noticed that the Spurs v @rsenal game was on the big screen in the sportsbook so sat down and watched us beat Spurs 4-1!! Wales back to Sig to pick up cases and found a $100 chip in the walkway! Best bit of luck all holiday! : D
Got the cab no problem and got to airport at 3pm, flight left at 4:40pm. Got through customs etc really easy, absolute breeze. Flight left pretty much on time.
Overall we had a fantastic time yet again, really hope we can get out again next year, we'll certainly be trying!
Cheers
TC
Sorry about spelling or 'weird' wording above, have no home Internet at the moment so have to use my iPhone and I can't edit some of the post!
Great TR TeeCee......bet your glad to be home...not
TC
Sorry about the bad luck gambling. I'm having the same sort of luck, but OH has been holding his own then had a good win last night.
We enjoyed Viva Elvis. Not fantastic, but it was a good show. It suited me that it wasn't too Cirque. Our seats were excellent BTW.
The theatre was freezing, but I had read about this before going so wore long sleeves. The Aria buffet was quite good and the prime rib was excellent.
