Hi folks,
I am going to Paphos for my summer hols in June 2007. I am a vegetarian and I was wondering if that is going to pose a problem for me? Will there be plenty of things that I can eat? Does anyone know of any veggie friendly restaurants in the area?
I have been to Cyprus before - to Limassol but that was about 7 years ago but I wasn't veggie then, but I really don't recall any veggie dishes apart from chips and pizza.
Thanks for your help
The Cypriots are very big meat eaters and would never eat a veggie meal without meat of some kind, but many tourist restaurants do provide a menu for vegiterians and I am sure you will find some food you wish to eat, keep out of the local tavernas or you will see a meat fest!! shame as Cyprus food is wonderful.
I'm sure that my hubby will want to go to the local taverna but I'm sure they will be able to russle up a salad for me, or some houmous and pitta bread, that sort of thing so I won't starve.
Hey you never know, I might mangage to go on holiday and not come back any heavier this year! It will be great not having to spend the next month dieting and going to the gym!
small dishes..
I am sure they will do this for you in any local taverna, after all many of the dishes are vegetables so you could just eat them, just ask for more of the same..Meze means Post a Reply
