Personally I think it'd be cheaper to eat/drink in Hisaronu of an evening rather than in Olu as there are sooo many restaurants and competition that they are all vying to keep their prices lower than 'next door'.If you can imagine a straight line......at one end is Olu Deniz (the beach area).....the extreme end is Fethye. Hisaronu is a very short distance, as I've said before, from Olu... like this..
Fethye ------------------------------------------------u----------Olu Deniz
Hisaronu (this should be where the 'u' is..but when I click submit it takes it to edge of page )
If that makes any sense? lol Fethye is about...20-25? minutes dolmus ride from Hisaronu - as you're nearing Hisaronu that stretch of road is Ovacik BUT is now getting so built up...including hotels up in the mountains that travel agents are NOW calling 'Ovacik' Hisaronu...which it is not! If ever you book a Hisaronu holiday MAKE CERTAIN you know EXACTLY where you will be staying..because if you are in one of the hotels at the back of the road up in the mountains you either have to depend on a free courtesy bus to get you into Hisaronu/Olu Deniz or pay for taxi - as normally the dolmus doesn't travel up that far. Whenever we've been I use the Hotel Orka as a 'point'. I ask first if the accommodation is IN Hisaronu? If not ...IS it in the mountains on the main road from Fethye to Hisaronu? If yes....then I ask WHICH side of the Orka is it?? Fethye side...or Hisaronu?
Dolmus DO do this stretch of road as its the main road into Fethye BUT if you like to come back late of an evening the dolmus DO stop running at specified times throughout the season and then you'll have to taxi. However...if your hotel is HISARONU side of the Orka it is easy enough to walk back...about 20 minutes...PLUS they now have pavements as opposed to walking in the road as when we very first went there
Also although B&B's etc say 'breakfast'..remember this is normally a Turkish breakfast....toast/bread/jam and MAYBE every other day...a hard boiled egg! (when we'd knock on our son's door to say 'breakfast'....they'd shout back 'is it egg day?'...if it wasn't..they'd not bother getting up LOL!). Normally you'd have to pay for any extras.
(just down side road on RHS where the Dragon something chinese is) ...great evening with Seggie & Co.
