I'm tearing my hair out here (and don't have much to start with)..
Wifes passport was due to expire within 6 months of returning, so sent off for a new one just as the postal strikes kicked off - nervous time to start with. It came back within 10 days, luckily, so straight away to VFS. About 2 weeks later, DX Secure tried to deliver it but the wife was in the shower, so we rescheduled delivery over the internet. It wasn't redelivered..
It turns out that whilst the DX site accepted the request, it wasn't accepted due to the surname being wrong (someone missed the last two letters of our surname). Having chased DX, they confirmed that its been returned to VFS Hayes on 23/11/09.
Have contacted VFS by email - they have no record of it. Gave them the passport number, the application number, the lot - they still don't recognise it. Spent 15 minutes on the premium phone number today and they still can't find it on their system.
HELP!!!! Please..my wife has threatened to divorce me if i can't find it (and its not me who has lost it)..
There is a Visa topic at the top of our Goa forum where you might like to repost as some of the members there may have some ideas.
