Hi,
Going to the Green Oasis Apartments (Maspalomas), in August. Can anyone tell me if there are any waterparks near?
Cheers,
Janet
Just to let you know the biggest water park on the island is actually in Maspalomas ,so you've not far to go its called Aqualand (AquaSur).
Hope this helps
theres also a smaller waterpark in puerto rico, if you fancied a day out!!
Spoiled for choice! Thanks everyone.
hi, the water park is very good for all age's but look out your feet will get very hot going to slide to slide
Aqualand Maspalomas was closed over the X Mas time for so need work to some off the rides now open again there is a big water park behind Maspalomas but get there early as the Q do forum by 10 30 am , heres a good one buy you ticket the day befor and you wont have to Q up at the main door
Prices on food and drinks can be a bit high in both places, so it can be a good idea to bring a few things if you want to save some money.
Agree with all the above (we were there over easter) but just add one more piece of advice...think carefully about footwear. The ground is very rough, obviously you have to walk across it to get to the various rides, and if you wear flip flops, you cant wear them on the slides. One answer to the problem, which my husband used, was to wear his flip flops til he got to the front of the queue, and then he put them down the front of his shorts.....looks odd on the photo's but saved the feet from getting cut! Also try and avoid going on a bank hoilday...we went on maundy thursday (a bank holiday for the spanish) and it was heaving with spanish teenagers, making the queues much longer (and louder.....they do jabber very loudly!).
hi just wondering what it is like in all the water parks that are there .we was hoping to visit them all and we all just love water and we was wondering if you could tell us what is there at the water parks :!:we would be delighted if you sent any reviews any replies are welcome thank you
cally Hi! Was it you I replied to regarding Koala Gardens? (maspalomas). If it was and you are staying in maspalomas, there is a water park about 10 mins walk from your apartment. (Aqua Sur). Its brill, my son who's 11 absolutely loved it there(plenty of slides etc...) If I remember right, it wasn't all that expensive either. Have fun!!BBB.
There is also one in Puerto Rico that you could check out.
Although if you go in july it can get very packed and you may end up spending most of your day queuing for slides
Does any1 know if the water park in puerto rico is any good
The waterpark in Puerto Rico is pretty basic - although it is currently still open, there is lots of building work going on to improve it. Not sure when it's going be complete but I reckon in time for the summer (it looks good)I was there two weeks ago and there were hardly any people in - so we were straight on everything as and when we wanted.

Do they do any 3 or more day passes cheaper?
when i go i am going aqua land
Have found almost all of the Aquaparks in different countries are doing offers online. The Maspalomas one is currently offering a coupon for 15% up until 31/08/05.
HOWEVER, I emailed them direct to ask about 3 day passes and there is a 'Happy Pass' which is bought at the gate for 31 euro per adult and 21 euro per child. This can be used over a period of 15 days from date of purchase!!!
Great deal or what
Cheers,
Janet
