Getting warmer by the day and starting to get a bit more humid at night, a good time to visit IMO.

my friends e-mailed me yesterday and said it was cloudy all day yesterday

Yes, the good news is that the cold weather of the past couple of weeks has gone and temperatures are now normal for this time of year. The bad news is that it has indeed been quite cloudy for much of the past few days, but the sky is clear today.

Yes, sorry, i jinxed the weather again. As soon as i reported clear skies the clouds started to roll in, and in the evening it even rained for a short time. Unheard of in Febraury. Whatever next?

Didn't get the rain in the south. We watched the sunset from Chandranath Hill but could see it was a little hazy.
Today, friday, still a little thin cloud but seems more humid.
The cold nights seem to have ended.

Just to reassure sun worshippers:

It was COOL at night times a couple of weeks back due to a stronger wind that normally dies in the evening but became stronger.

THEN

last week was extremely hot. Monsoon heat - bringing enough clouds to give you a break JUST.

THEN

a completly clear day with no wind at all and very high humid and temperatures. rain came out of nowhere at night time and there were scattyered cloud in the morning followed by four days of unbearable heat (and i like it hot). So much so the locals where complaining and millions (i mean millions) of monsoon type flies hit the main street and Ingos market.

From sunday it has been normal. Roasting by day with a sea breeze then mild by night.

Thats the weather for this morning, i will be back again after the news at midday ;)

I was there from 5th to 19th Feb and the weather was very strange. The morning I arrived was cold. And I mean cold. I needed my fleece and jacket that I'd travelled in. First few days I came off the beach at 3 because of the cold wind and needed a jacket and no fan at all at night. The locals were shivering and a couple of Goan friends ended up in hospital with influenza ! This lasted about 4 days and then it suddenly warmed up and went to the other extreme. Shack boys dropping with heat exhaustion and complaining about the extreme heat. Then it rained one night...just came from nowhere and after that things seemed to go to a reasonable (though hot and sticky) temp. Never known it so weird and I've been over 12 times.
