I am getting married in September in Cyprus and am going to Use Medweds as a wedding planner - has anyone got any past experience in dealing with Medweds and if so how did their wedding go?
hi we are using medweds they have been fantastic, just at the end of an email always happy to help!
I got married in September 2005 in a civil ceremony in Germasogeia followed by a catholic wedding blessing in the chapel in the grounds of our hotel, the Columbia Beach Resort.
We used Medweds as our wedding co-ordinators. I've posted a review before and it's somewhere within this very long wedding thread. So here it is again:
I would definitely recommend Medweds to anyone considering getting married in Cyprus. They are simply Superb! They organise everything from the transport from the airport, car hire, flowers, favours, limo, marriage licence, confetti to meetings with the priest.
Our wedding co-ordinator was Susan and she was fantastic. She arranged transport to collect me, hubby and hubby's family from the airport and also for my family who arrived on another flight. Susan arranged car hire so that me and hubby could get to our appointments easily. (We were staying in Pissouri which is off the beaten track).
The day after our arrival Susan came to meet us at our hotel. She ran through our arrangements, helped us to chose our flowers, favours and table decorations from a beautiful selection and basically took the stress out of everything. Susan then took me and hubbie to Limassol to get our marriage license and then to Germasogeia, where our civil ceremony was to take place. Susan showed us round and ran through what would happen on the day so we would know what to expect. Susan also arranged an appointment for us with the priest who was to marry us and his assistant Suzy. We were able to chose lovely personalized wedding candles, hymns and have a trial run-through of the wedding service.
Two days before the wedding I had a problem with the hairdresser I had booked. (She was basically trying to rip me off, charging me £495 for 4 up-do's and 2 blow-dries). It was late in the evening when I phoned Susan. I explained what had happened and asked her if she knew of any hairdressers that would be able to do my hair. Incredibly, she managed to book a hairdresser at such short notice. The hairdresser Chris, did the most fantastic hairstyles I've ever seen. I felt like a million dollars and my bridesmaids looked amazing.
On our wedding day itself, Susan arrived early. She accompanied us to Germasogeia for the civil ceremony and then came back to our hotel to co-ordinate our religious ceremony.
Susan organised the flowers for everybody, ensured the reception table was decorated just as I had requested with lovely favours, rose table decorations and place cards and generally ensured that everything ran smoothly. Susan ensured the whole thing went perfectly from start to finish.
The photography and DVD that Medweds arranged was exceptional. Our photographer was called Jorge and he did an amazing job. The photos are the best I have ever seen, the colours and the quality are fabulous. Everyone says we all look like film stars. I am so glad I decided to have a DVD, it is excellent. Everyone who has watched it has said how brilliant it is. It is also a permanent reminder of a wonderful, unique day.
Medweds is a professional company who, given the level of expertise have obviously been wedding planning for many years. Susan is fantastic. Her daughter Helen, who unfortunately I didn't get to meet, is also excellent. Helen provided me with all the info I needed to know from my first contact and answered my many numerous email queries. Both Susan and Helen took care of our needs from start to finish and their personal, unique service ensures a truly memorable day. If you're thinking of getting married in Cyprus choose Medweds, as they really do provide something extra special.
hi they sound really good medweds, iv gone with cyprus dream weddings and im hoping they will do such a good job too....anybody who has got married with cdw please let me know, many thanks

As you have already posted in the wedding topic I will close this, to avoid duplication.
It may be worth you applying for membership of the PaphosPost, there is lots of wedding information on there: http://p069.ezboard.com/bpaphos
Let me know once you have applied and your username, I will then arrange access for you.
