Hi everyone has any one booked there flights and accomodation yet for 2007 and if so whodid you book with really struggling to get a competative qoute dont know if I should wait a while but I am worried about availability at Newcastle airport, I havnt booked my wedding yet as wanted to see pricesfor hotels and things first any tips?

We have booked our wedding accomadation flights etc with Thomascook for May 07. Also I know FirstChoice are on sale.

I am staying at the Odessa in Protaras. I have not sorted out the reception yet not sure where to have it? Spoke to the rep over there who has suggested the hotel but think I would prefer a local restaurant. Carly I know someone who got married last year in Aiya Napa in the town hall they went to a restaurant just across the road for it and had a meal and they chooses karaoke if I see them I will get more details for you. I have not booked for 2007 yet but I have booked a lot of accommodation only prices this year with Broadway travel there accommodation seems to be the cheapest I could get

Just getting nervous now about how it will all work out when i get there, its a bit of the unknown and i am not too good with that. I like to be organised hence me trying to find out some info on this site. I suppose not many people tend to log on after the wedding takes place but if you remind me i will let you know any details.

great minds do think alike..heh..heh...my bridesmaid is very fair too and the colour does suit her cos she's so pale. Also it matches the grooms dress style too, I didnt want to go for a lilac or pink colour as gold is a little bit different! the bridesmaid said shes getting a false tan before she goes cos she will just go red in the cyprus heat! and be like a beetroot and peel.
I'm getting married at the aiya kyriaki chapel in paphos 29th may next yr. we are going thorugh cyprus dream weddings and they have been great. I'm quite organised am going for the beach side reception in paphos and the night do for over in england is organised too, just got to pay now! and sort the accomodation yet aghhhh. I'm really excited cant wait, it's great to talk to other people going through getting married in Cyprus too.

You do sound very organised I am impressed. We just decided at New Year to get married so everything has been very quickly organised. I am getting married on the 16th June 06 at 1pm in paralimni town hall protaras. I booked through Olympic holidays and they have been great no hassle with dates and organising different things they have even organised a horse and carriage. My father is not very impressed about having to go in it. There are 23 people coming over and have went for the traditional kilt so they will all toast (but who cares it's the bride's prerogative). I am a bit worried about after the wedding we were thinking of having a good meal and some music going home to change around tea time and meeting back up later on for a good knees up. I have also booked the reception back home two parties for the price of one you can't beat it.

We decided at christmas time and got the ball rolling beginning of january, everyone has asked us why Cyprus, and because we have been before and going again in June we just said we liked Cyprus so much.
My mum would of preferred me to get married over in England but she is now also treating it has a holiday for herself too.
We have roughly so far about 25- 30 people coming over, the list keeps creeping up.
As we are getting married at 3.00pm I guess our reception will go on into the evening. its very exciting...

We have been to Cyprus a few times but never Protaras but been told it is great. My family weren't to happy at first because it is costing them a fortune to go and we have only given them 5 months notice. But what more could you ask for great weather beautiful country and lovely people and not to mention the part when we come home.

After reading their pricelist for the extras we decided to book certain things like photography ourselves. In the end we used Paphos Wedding Belles and were extremely happy with the results and value for money.

Also, has anyone either held a reception in either sunset beach or evandreas. also does anyone know how i would find out the distance from the reception venues to a particular hotel. sorry there are so many questions, but want to make sure i get it right. thanks.

hi i know this might sound silly, but how do you get your wedding dress over and grooms attire, on the plane. Has would want it has hand luggage if poss, also when you are coming back home after getting married your passport will be in a different name???

you need to get in touch with the airline about being able to carry it has hand luggage, most planes state it has to go in the hold. the passport will be in your maiden name which is what you will travel under until home.

Now you might have to sit glued to the TV all day but,, the new channel 679 on Sky does give you an inside shot of a wedding taking place in Paralimni town hall. You would need to catch it inbetween the promotions for selling properties but it is there.
