if i can help anyone just fire away with the querys, might take a while though got lots of washing to do !!
We are getting married at the same hotel and using the same planners as you so hopefully I will have a day as good as yours! Glad it all went well.
Do you know how many weddings they have a day at the capo bay?
Pinkk
think its up to 3 a day, but dont worry you wont see the other brides and your aphrodite rep will make you feel like the most beautiful bride in the world.
Yeah we are having the reception in the Pavillion. We are getting married at 3.30 and then having the reception a bit later. Not sure what time to book it for, don't want to eat to early but don't want everyone to get bored waiting. Might book it for about 7.00. Did you book any entertainment? We have not as there is only 15 of us we were thinking of having the meal and then going to a local bar with some music on just coz there is not really enough people for a disco. What meal did you go for? Sorry about all the questions.
we got married at 3
had photos took with guests and then guests were took to the pavilion while we went to have more photos took on our own down the back of hotel overlooking the sea.
we had 50 guests who were given wine or juice while they waited for us to come back,
got back to pavilion at about 4.30 cut cake and then our meal was served at 5, tomato and mozzorela starter, chicken tarragon or pork main meal, cheesecake or fruit salad which they chose a few days before.
had our speeches between main meal and dessert .
meals finished at about 6.45 and then the limousine picked us up to take us to cape greko for the sunset photos at 7.10 (which are amazing and highly recomended by us)
we didnt have any entertainment at capo but we went to the love boat bar which is just over the road from capo, we got back there at about 8.20 and all our guests were there waiting for us with lots of noise and cheers, its a very emotional day !!!
had a fantastic night in there and left there about 3 in the morning ,us and some guests finished the night off with a kebab sitting by the pool at 3.30 (very classy LOL)
hope your day is as fab as ours was, hope this helps and any more questions just fire away
what date is your wedding?
les xx
Did you take your own music for walking down the isle and stuff? Not sorted anything like that out yet.
We are looking at the carvery meal, the only thing if we have that meal we have to pay for 20 people as it says on the menu you have to have 20 people minimum, so with only 15 of us we are going to have to eat loads!!
yes i took cd's with me, i took 4!! all on seperate discs and labelled up when they were to be played, i also took spare copies!! im a bit of a worrier LOL!!!
1- had a selection of love songs on while guests were waiting
2 shania twain -from this moment - i walked down aisle to
3 eva cassidy - songbird- while we signed register
4 westlife- thats where you find love- to leave to
gave the dvd man discs 2,3 & 4 after the wedding and he put them on our dvd as backing music.
we were going to have carvery meal but because we had 50 guests i thought they might be queing for there food for a long time and also wanted to be waited on, so we went for the chicken/pork option.
i have read good reports about the carvery though so im sure you'll love it.
spk soon

staff in local shop now as fed up as we are.
currently, would NOT reccommend TC weddin planners!
Did you use the affident thing that Aphrodite wedding services sent to you or did you get your own.
We printed the ones that they emailed to us and took them into the solicter today and she stamped it but said it did not look like there was enough infomation on there compared to others she had seen.

i just got back from my wedding in paphos, cyprus. I got married on the 1st july 2008 at paphos town hall, having switched from yerriskipou town hall a week earlier due to something i read about it. Just to let everyone know there is a little building work going on but absolutely nothing to worry about your pics won't be affected. I also read about the graffitti on the walls, and when i arrived in cyprus the wedding co-ordinator said it is so minor, and they have a team of people who clean this type of stuff up everyday so don't worry about it. I wish i hadn't listened to what someone on here had put and just left it the same as its a beautiful location, however i did have an amazing time at paphos town hall, just a little warning though, when you first arrive and meet with your wedding co-ordinator they are after you spending more and more money, I honestly suggest to anyone getting married abroad get what you can arranged over here before you go, especially if you are on a budget! However if you are like me and just worried about everything from start to finish then you honestly have no worries as your wedding co-ordinators sort everything out from start to finish, nothing is a problem believe me. I booked through first choice and was honestly really worried as you don't get any details when you book the wedding about extras, flowers, receptions etc, so i done what i could over here before i went.
I first met with the wedding co-ordinator the first night, she was lovely I was staying at the holiday village aliathon, 18 weddings had arrived the same day as me, so as you can imagine it was quite hectic. They have layed out on the table evrything that they do for you from flowers to photos to hair, nails transport etc.
I had to go and register my wedding in the town hall the next day, which was fine, I just presumed i would get a taxi after all its only 7 euros to get into paphos town centre from my hotel, I was shocked to hear that they would organise it for me and that it would cost 32.50 euros, thats more than double, well i don't know i accepted it anyways even though i knew i was ripped off. I also had planned for myself and my guests to make our own way to the town hall as I thought I could save in that respect, the wedding co-ordinator advised against that as its best to keep organised for the wedding and keep all your guests together and then there is no confusion apparently, so we accepted that and went with that, getting myself a wedding car mercedes costing 128.15 euros and a 22 seater minibus for my guests costing 196.49 euros, all added expense i wasn't expecting as i had something in my head but got talked out of it, and to an even bigger suprise was my wedding car was the same car that took me to the town hall to register my wedding with a bit of white ribbon on, and you don't get the services all day they take you from your hotel to the town hall, and then on to your reception, they don't pick you up from your reception and return you, you have to get taxis back. The company that provided the taxis were mayfair taxis, maybe worth emailing them direct for cheaper, i could find an email address if anybody was interested/
Flowers - i hadn't been able to sort anything out with regards to flowers before i left, but again i'm sure you could sort something out, look on cyprus yellow pages, lots of phone numbers for florists they will all speak english so don't worry, I had my heart set on red roses, which I did get i might add beautiful they were, they cost me 78.60 euro for the upgrade from the standard carnation bouquet. I had one adults bridesmaid who got a small hand held roses which cost 54.68 euros and two little bridesmaids got bags of petals which were 25.63 euros each. I'm more than sure again if you shopped around you would get this cheaper.
Cake - I just got a standard cake which was included in my wedding package which was fine, I was happy with that.
photos - lucky for me I sorted out the most amazing photographer before i went, photokyriacos.com, I met with him the second day i arrived and we went through everything, his prices are hard to beat believe me, and the service is fabulous. Again the wedding co-ordinator tried to talk me out of booking else where as they can't guarantee the photos will meet there standards you just need to look at my pics or on his website and you will see they are brilliant.
i got a large package to let you know what i got in comparison with first choices price
40 page photo album with 7x5 pictures in it - cost 350 euros with photokyriacos (fc price is 648.01)
all the photos taken on cd cost 250 euros with photo kyriacos (fc price - 285 euros)
12 sunset photos cost 154 euro with photo kyriacos and would be 239.20 euro with fc
also got 14 additional pictures which cost 108 euros with photo kyriacos and would be 140 euros with fc, so as you can see i made some huge savings there, and i highly recommend the sunset photos
if you wish to view my pictures, email me and let me know i will send you a link my email address is **removed**, my photographer also gave me a dvd free with all my pics on, the proofs booklet free and a huge 20x40 poster which was great. All i had to do to guarantee his work on the day was send 100 euros via swift, which was no problem as i saved 452 euros with him, plus he added a lot of extras for me. funnily enough when the wedding co-ordinator met the photographer, she knew him, later she told me he had done work before for first choice, so it does save going direct.
My hair and make up - i used exquisitecyprus.com i organised it first through email and they gave me fabulous service, i don't tan very well so i got a st tropez tan done the day before too, costing 51 euros gave me a beautiful tan.
my hair was 68 euros and my make up was 51 euros which i thought wasn't really too bad compared to first choice who charge 89.70 for bridal hair up and was 56.38 euro for make up, i had a consultation beforehand too at equisitecyprus which i thought was good as with the mobile first choice people you would be dissappointed on the day if you couln't get what you want.
my reception was held at the poseidonas restaurant on paphos harbour was absolutley beautiful, we went for a wedding meze menu which was 33 euros per person with first choice which i didn't think was too bad as you get wine through the meal included in that, but my sister was speaking to someone at our hotel who rang the restaurant direct and could get it ten euros cheaper per person, but you always find out after. I also ordered champagne when we arrived at around 25 euro a bottle just for the toast, fabulous service and view.
if anybody has any questions fire away

Sounds like you had a fab day.
I'm booking my own transport when we get to Protaras with Mr John. I'm also trying to book some sunset photo's as we have Thomas Cook for the day time, but I don't know if anyone will do this seeing as we won't be using them all day.
laura
We had a bit of an insite really, as a couple we made friends with this year booked there own wedding transport and saved a packet. TC also offered them a catmarran cruise and evening meal but they arranged something similar themselves for 1000E less, so it pays to shop around.
I was going to book a photographer as I really didn't want to get on holiday for TC to turn round and say they can't do it.
Has anyone had sunset photo's taken by Thomas Cook??????
Just got confirmation from Paralimni Town Hall, my wdding is at 12 o'clock. I e-mailed them myself.
Now just need to find a hairdressers!!!
