We bought 10kg of charity clothes which we wanted to take to give to elderly people - some of it brand new - marks and spencers stuff, debenhams etc. We asked the advice of the guest house owner where we stayed and she grabbed the bag off us and sorted through it taking all the best stuff. We were left with hardly anything to give and wouldn't have minded except shes making a packet running the guest house and her husband works full time!
It is all very emotive regarding who to trust, when asked for my telephone number I give the local police station, my address is the same. I don't ever give my mobile number.
that is not a good indication is it? Trying to make you feel bad! May be you shouldn't see him next March?
do you mean that your address is the same as the police station

Just got details of the new site. One thing worth remembering in Goa, is how many other tourists are they asking for money as well? A friend sent money to a shack owner to "fix the roof of the family home". A couple of years later he was in the shack and heard someone saying that they had paid to get his roof fixed. It turned out at least six different couples had paid for the roof to be fixed, and there were probably others. Some please for money are probably genuine, but which ones?
good to see you back Sandyboy!
